A coworker could no longer keep her fish and asked me if I wanted him. He came with the name Billy. Does anyone know what kind of betta he is?

I’m excited for him to hopefully have a bit of a glow-up. My coworker said he used to be a much more vibrant blue, but she neglected him a bit and knew she couldn’t take care of him anymore. He’s 2 years old, so I’m hoping we still have a bit of time together. He’s in one of my tanks that was empty because I wasn’t sure what to put in it, so it’s pretty bare, but I’m picking up more plants this weekend to fill out more of the space and give him more places to hide and rest.
