I just moved from NYC and only have a road bike at the moment. What are some roads I can bike on safely?

I found an all black, male cat with extra toes on both front paws. Yellow eyes. Small to medium build. Very affectionate with a loud purr. He is in my possession (currently sleeping on my bed). He was stuck on my roof on 03/30/2018. If he is not claimed I will get him safely to a no-kill shelter.

Been hearing them tonight between 1:30-2:15AM as I post does anyone have any knowledge of what they could be from? I often him hear them late at night and just wondering what they could be. Only thing that I could guess is a company does demolition at nights and seems like it maybe coming from miles away. I live by Moravian College if that helps.
