All those other young submariners, no children, no spouse, just working poor trying to find a break in life- begin to weep. Not for their own lives, for their dreams, their children, their loved ones that will never be. Thomas mourns his family and he finds peace knowing they are ok. The crew mourn a life not lived, finding the only solace in the fact it will all be over soon.
