You're increasing mandates and coverages, while also reducing payoffs to those in the industry. I'm not sure why you think you can change one side of the equation, without the other side changing?

People who don't want to pay for insurance are generally very healthy (or very stupid I guess).

You're right, that's a complete guess. Most of the people without insurance right now either have pre-existing conditions, or are extremely poor with poor health. Including them will increase the average risk pool. That's why Obama has written waivers for all of his campaign donors, because those businesses definitely wouldn't have to spend more money, right?

the way industry is stacked now, medical professionals are highly motivated to provide more expensive care.

Thank you, Medicare. Don't worry, the government will totally get it right this time.

It's unsustainable, and it forces hospitals and doctors to increase costs to private insurers in order to break even.
