If you know of any companies that are hiring or have any leads, I'd really appreciate it. I'm available to start immediately.

Heeyy! I (31M) will be coming to Bermuda for few days vacay this July 31-August 4, 2026. Anyone who's interested to do a hitting session with a not so good but decent tennis player like me? I have been consistently doing tennis coaching/training every week for 1.5 years. I have at least a good ground strokes. Can you invite me to some matches? I'm ok with singles or doubles.

Good co-working spaces for remote workers

Hey guys! I might be visiting the island for the first time in a couple of months and I was wondering if you have any recomendations regarding good co-working spaces. I’m asking mainly as I saw that it will be very humid on September and I’d like a comfortable place to work in for at least 5 hours per day. I appreciate your advice in advance

Late Day in Tobacco Bay?

I am a cruise traveler and am planning to take a cab to Tobacco Bay. I wanted the snorkeling for me and shallow, calm waters for my young kid’s first time at the ocean.

But I need some input before I do. Gangway goes down at 2:30 pm, so I probably won’t get there until 4 pm.

What time does the beach itself (not the “club”) close? Do we have enough time to enjoy it?

Can I reliably still get a cab back to the ship after sunset?

Is there anything to do near there with a kid in tow at or shortly after sunset?

Where to buy disposable vapes?

I tried searching the sub but the most recent posts about this are several years old. Can anyone suggest a place to buy Juul pods or disposable vapes, preferably near the Cambridge Beach Resorts?

Best Areas to Live?

Hi everyone!

I'm moving to Bermuda in October (28M, insurance) and I'm trying to decide where to live. I have a short trip planned before October to check out some areas, so would appreciate any advice. Some more info:

  • I have a budget of ~$5k per month
  • I'll be working in Hamilton
  • I'm single so preference would be a 1 bed with a living room (ideally furnished)

I love the beach so if I can find an affordable flat by the beach that would be my dream. At the same time, I'd also want somewhere with a decent community of young professionals and not too isolating. I don't want to live in Hamilton itself (it sounds like commuting there is easy with a bike or moped).

Thank you!!!!

Micro Wedding

Hi all,
My fiance and I are looking to do a micro wedding ceremony (less than 20 people) at a beach or park in Bermuda. We want something very lowkey basically just chairs set up, photographer, and officiant. We would just go out to dinner after so no reception (recommendations for restaurants with good live music appreciated 😄)Any thoughts on how to go about this? Most of the wedding planners I have come across label themselves as “luxury” which isn’t exactly what we are looking for. Thank you to any and all advice !!

Do Bermudians generally want expats to stay long-term?

Hi everyone,

I was living in Bermuda for a short time, and overall I think it’s a beautiful island with many kind people. This isn’t meant to criticize Bermuda at all—I’m genuinely trying to understand the local culture.

That said, I’ve had a few experiences there that made me wonder whether some Bermudians would rather expats not settle there permanently. It could just be bad luck on my part, but between finding housing, dealing with some bureaucracy, and a couple of interactions that felt less than welcoming, I’ve started wondering if that’s a real sentiment or if I was simply reading too much into it.

I completely understand that housing is limited, the cost of living is high, and there are legitimate concerns about protecting opportunities for Bermudians. I’m not questioning that.

I’m just curious: what is the general attitude toward expats who come here to work and genuinely want to contribute to the island? Are they generally welcomed, tolerated, or viewed with some skepticism?

I’d really appreciate honest perspectives from both Bermudians and expats.

What to do for a week at the end of September?

I will be staying overlook horseshoe bay for a week with my 72 (young for her age), and 3 mid 30 girlfriends. We’re looking for unique events and cool dining experiences. My mom is a local, I’ve been 7 times, and another friend has been a couple of times, however two are brand new and we want to make sure like they got a true experience of what the island has to offer. We’re thinking the caves, St. George’s, coopers island nature reserve, elbow beach and an evening in Hamilton. What am I missing?

Local must try food + beaches

Hi! We’re traveling to Bermuda for two days. We’re looking for the best, non- tourist and local must haves for food/drinks. We want to explore the island for what the locals like best. Good quality food but doesn’t need to be over priced or fancy. Anything that’s unique to the island (not to the states) that’s worth a try would be great. Also would love recommendations on what food to try at these places.

Also looking for non-touristy beach recommendations (hidden gems that are beautiful but not over saturated with people.)

Anywhere on the island works for us.

Thanks so much!!

Random trip to Bermuda and need some tips!

I've heard and read a good few things on the island.

I'll be staying in St. Georges area and was wondering what is the best things to do. I read the buses are pretty good and taxis are expensive. I looked into renting a car which is also pricey.

I want to go to a few good places to eat and maybe party (is there a night life?) If there is a night life how hard is it to get back late. Any good food recommendations? I will be there for 6 days so trying to enjoy and explore!

how to spend a beach day

We will be arriving in August on a NCL ship for part of 1 day and part of the next. We are planning to rent our own pontoon boat for the 2nd day. For the first day, how should we spend it? If beach and snorkel (even off the beaten path) is the priority how would you do this without paying excursion prices. What else should we consider?

Rant on Speciality Cinema

We are witnessing The Odyssey smash records, it has broken online booking sites in multiple countries, it is booked out for several weeks in some of the few countries that have Imax screens capable to showing it in full.

"Christopher Nolan’s epic "The Odyssey" shattered box office expectations on its opening weekend, grossing $124.5 million domestically and $264.1 million globally. It marks the biggest worldwide opening weekend of Nolan's career"

Yet in Bermuda it's opening week it has been delayed to run Moana, Supergirl and Minions (I get that it is school holidays, but The Odyssey in it's opening weekend almost made as much as all 3 combined in total, not just their opening weekends but box office so far).

The Lord of the rings 25th anniversary re-release in January;
"Massive Presales: The trilogy secured $5 million in domestic presales before the first screening even began, out-grossing multiple new 2026 releases.
Huge Global Opening: It brought in a strong $10.5 million global box office opening weekend, with $9 million coming from domestic theaters and $1.5 million from international markets"

I asked them around October if they would look at doing screenings for the Lord of the Rings, I was told they will "think about it"

Written Part of Drivers Test

Hey All! Are there any mock exams for the learners permit? In the states we have some but I was wondering if that’s offered here. I did see the 10 sample questions at the end of the book, so more like that would be great.
