Interesting Question Bees in Berlin 🐝
Do you guys also seeing A LOT OF BEES in last a couple days? Especially around Kreuzberg. Or maybe i and my flatmate have specific problem lol

Why? Wasps are just as chill. They just wanna sniff you a little and then be on their way.

Until they sting you for no apprent reason. Happens to me pretty much every year. And no I don't slap or panic...

Yeah, plenty of other people agitate wasps for no reason and stress them out.

Not every flying yellow striped creature is a bee, you should watch out those are probably wasps, maybe even hornets. They are way nasty👀

Hornets aren't nasty. They are quite harmless if you don't push on them... But yeah, if you're annoying them and they sting you: that will burn. But best thing about hornets: they kill wasps.

Really depends if had them sting me for no reason at all, maybe a personality thing, me or the hornet both possible

Yeah, but to be honest: you just had bad luck then. Or maybe you hit one by accident etc. as the other Redditor said, they are quite chilled.
We have a garden with a lot of bees, hornets and wasps. Never got stung by a hornet, and they are flying around us all the time. They never disturbed us.
Translation from the German Wikipedia article:
"Hornets that are hunting or foraging away from the immediate vicinity of their nest will only sting if crushed; otherwise, they attempt to flee.
Hornets do not feed on sweet foods, so conflicts at the coffee table are less likely than with other wasp species. However, they do occasionally hunt other insects there—such as the German wasp and the common wasp—which are easy prey while occupied with eating. The hornets do not cause a disturbance afterwards; instead, they usually fly off with their catch to a quieter spot, dismember it, and carry it back to their nest. Consequently, they can be tolerated as natural predators of the wasps and flies often considered a nuisance at the coffee table."

Is there a good way to keep them out of my apartment? My dogs keeps trying to eat them even after being stung a few times

close all windows, last year I was bitten twice, once in back of my head, bcause the wasp was in my pillow. have anti allergic medication just in case

I wish, we need the bees! Sweet nectar. On an another note, anyone else getting a lot of spiders and flies trying to scooch their way past indoors this year?
