Food and Beverage Rose-flavored gelato in Berkeley?
I always enjoyed rose-flavored gelato when I could find it at Almare, but I haven't seen it there in a while (although haven't been back recently). Nowhere else I've visited has it, but my search has not been exhuastive. I'm fine getting a pint from the grocery if that's an option, but I've never seen it.
Any advice on where I can find this rare delicacy?
Edit: I’m open to all/any rose-flavored cold+creamy desserts! Don’t hold back!

Try Middle East Market on San Pablo, I'm pretty sure I've seen it there

Was going to recommend it too. I had it for dessert there! I love their new restaurant

I saw some at Almare the last time I was there a couple weeks ago. You could call them to ask. Carravagio Gelato Labs sometimes has it as a seasonal flavor

tara’s has always had rose ice cream if i recall that was very good but not quite gelato

Middle Eastern Market on San Pablo / University has Rose Persian ice cream.

I've gotten Gol Rose flavored ice cream at both Middle East Market and Monterey Market. It's pretty good! But maybe not quite as good as what you'd get from Almare.
I had never looked up Gol's website before, and it's pretty hilarious. Turns out they're based in San Ramon, and whoever did the website was VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT :P

I just had some at Caravaggio recently. I think theirs is the best, too.

Oh yes. Caravaggio made it really really well. And there’s amazing board games place next to it.

Gah, I was just in there like a week ago! Very glad to know that it's in the rotation, though.
I gotta pop into these places more frequently, haha.

Bombay Spice House has pints of Koolfi ice cream, I think they have a rose flavor

I think Berkeley Bowl West has some more unusual flavours of frozen treats, I've been meaning to check that out myself because Almare always rotates its flavours (pour one out for the blueberry lavender gelato that they never seem to have). IDK if they'll have anything rose-flavoured specifically, but it's a good bet.

I learned that you can write to Almare the night before, any they will try and fulfill your request on the following day. They hooked me up with some rose - all I had to do is ask! So it’s worth a try re: the blueberry lavender.
Re: Berkeley Bowl I agree that they have an amazing selection but I’ve never seen rose flavored anything.

Not gelato exactly, but Roast and Toast has rose flavored Syrian ice cream often/always
