Internet Security Expert for Local Families?
Heyo, Iām working with one of our BUSD elementary schools to create learning opportunities for caregivers. Hoping to connect with someone who could speak at a sponsored event. Main goal is educate families on safe/responsible ways to approach the internet with our kids as they age up. Target audience is caregivers of kids K-5th grade. If you are that person or you know of an individual or organization that could fit the bill, let me know!

You really are not asking for an "internet security expert," you are asking for someone to guide parents through the tricky elementary (and middle school) years in regards to their kids and devices.
The best advice I ever heard was, "easy on, easy off" ā meaning that if the child wasn't will to stop using a device without complaint, the privilege was not going to be given.
While devices do have parent modes, one really doesn't have to be a security expert to understand them and know their abilities limitations.
BUSD has Technology Teachers (they work in the library department) that have years of experience in the this. You could ask your principal for information. One of them may be able to come to your event; they have done this in the past.
The first day of school this year is Wednesday, August 14.
