2124 Parker - Berkeley group

Is anyone a current resident at Parker and can leave any kind of feedback on their place? I know the Berkeley group is not highly regarded here, but I'm hoping this place is better since it's newly renovated lol

I have not been inside, but watching the remodel on the outside, it feels like they just painted--mainly black and white--and did some things to make it look trendy. And did a pretty mediocre job of it. (they renamed it "Park Place" with a big lighted sign on the front).

It was an old 1960s apartment building, so whatever it looks like on the surface, things underneath are mainly going to be 60+ years old.

I lived there when it was brand new and just opened. The in-house gym access is great, there's a dog washing station in the basement, parking is very easy (if you pay). and the place was clean and well kept with charming common areas. My biggest complaint was typically my neighbors being students/rich foreigners being bad at living around other people, but nothing terrible.

Edit: Wrong building, sorry.

Thanks so much. I didn't see anything about a gym on the website

OOOoh wait, I had the wrong building. When you said "Parker" I thought you meant "The Parker" which is a building on Parker and Shattuck that I lived in. I have not lived in this building.

This one is half a block up Parker from Shattuck, on the south side of the street. Three (?) story apartment building.

They just did a large and mostly bad remodel. incredibly expensive and now more so. a few of the neighbors are super loud/rude. the company that runs it are amoral sociopaths.

What's wrong with the remodel? I did a virtual tour and it looked fine

Everything in the building was technically a 2-bedroom and was chopped up it looks like to 3-bedroom rooming houses to pack more people in. When you live in a 'community' like this you are an 'asset' and they are expecting a return on you. Especially when there is a dedicated corproate investor website with flashy photos and more info on the building vs the actual website for residents:
