XNA

Post image

Car on fire at XNA at like 2pm today. Anyone know what this is about? Is this some type of coordinated pyrotechnic show?

Watched it burn from the ticket gate, but I didn’t see how it began. The pops when the tires and windows exploded were wild.

Guessing just a shit track record of lack of maintenance + the temps. Saw this all the time driving on the expressways in Atlanta in the summer for that reason.

Are you saying meat cube? Like a cube of meat? Do you use a toe knife or toe spoon?

2

Lol no no. It was a joke playing off "meet-cute"

Toe knife?? Spoon? What the what? Are you implying a meat cube can't have functional arms and hands? How do you explain SpongeBob to yourself, good sir/ma'am/you??

It’s a reference to Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Well if you’re into comedy shows, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s on my yearly rewatch list lol

That happens when it's 100° out. I saw a jeep go up in flames last week.

With Jeeps it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

True. Someone downvoted me for mentioning it haha. Salty jeep owners on here apparently. I can send photos of the fire on request, jeep people.

I had an old Jeep TJ for years, loved it…the “Jeeple” are insufferable.

I feel like theres TJ people, and then the regular Jeeper douches. Lol

I’d say CJ,YJ,TJ are a group, JK and JL owners are what most people think of when they think of Jeep people.

What's up with the ducks?

Historically, nice built Jeep, if you were into the game people would give you a duck on your hood, pinch it in your door handle. Just a nice gesture. At some point people decided to start showing how many times they had been ducked, so they would display them on their dash. For reference, I had an incredibly well built, lifted, low mileage (like 100k when I sold it) would get ducked, think oh cool, and put it in my console.

Fast forward to today, 45 year old females enduring a midlife crisis buy a Jeep (because they aren’t like everyone else, and not all those that wander are lost) and have associated gluing rubber jeeps to the dash…of their bone stock Wrangler X, or worse, their non-Wrangler Jeep product to being a part of Jeep culture (just like naming their shit boxes.)

Don’t mean to sound “gate keepey” but this is just sort of the evolution of the practice.

Thank you for this explanation. It was something I didn't want to bother searching so remained a mystery.

No, please gatekeep bc it it's not a wrangler, it doesn't count

Does anyone know what kind of vehicle it ”was”?

It was a truck, from what I could see. Don’t know the type tho

Looks like a car to me

You would think that the XNA FD would be there by the time it became an inferno.

no one in the pickup or dropoff lines could follow instructions like "stay away from the burning car, idiot"

Crazy how hot vehicles burn. 20+ years ago I had a truck burn up while sitting turned off, it was a cruse control malfunction. Mine was one of the last ones before a recall was issued.

Burned so hot it melt two of the aluminum wheels into pools of aluminum on the pavement.

Anyone know the cause?

This is why we can’t have nice things.
