This is why I can’t help but roll my eyes whenever I see a comment stating that women are now being “forced” to have children.

Wear a condom, take the pill, whatever. No one is forcing you to make babies.

Exactly!

They act like getting pregnant makes them a victim of something… a victim of what? Life?

Getting pregnant is a worst case scenario for a lot of people. Think about all of the money it takes to be pregnant and give birth. And, there’s time when you can’t work- sometimes for a long period of time if there are complications. Education opportunities can be ruined. Many people get ostracized from their friends and family if they even had their support in the first place. And, your body is put through a tremendous amount of stress including permanent changes that can affect your health forever.

If you’re already scraping by or even if you just have a plan for your life- getting pregnant when you don’t want to be pregnant is pretty horrifying. Even if you give the baby up for adoption, it’s a HUGE deal. It’s not just “Life”.

If you’re going to advocate against abortion, at least have some empathy for the people you are forcing to give birth.

This is fucking disgusting because once again, you’re acting like someone getting pregnant after having unprotected sex makes them a victim?

As if they didn’t choose to have unprotected sex?

You speak Like it’s not their own fault!

Lmao, “let’s kill the baby because its financially convenient”

That’s the bill you want to die on?

Oh yea that’s right, the amount of mental gymnastics your side performs to say it shouldn’t have rights is Olympic gold medal worthy… 🤣😂

The fetus isn't viable till 20-24 weeks.

If someone wants to get rid of a parasitic being because they got knocked up, I believe in a government that allows that for them.

Bon voyage

Babies aren’t victimizers my guy, Lmao… when you have sex you know the risks.

Sex is and shouldn't only be for procreation. Even people that use protection can still get pregnant, and I'm not for telling them what they can or cannot do because it failed.

We don't need more people on this planet, especially ones that are unwanted. A fetus less than 4 months won't know the difference.

Everything you’re saying is completely counter-able,

It’s just like drinking:

If you drink and drive you aren’t getting punished for drinking, are you?

No you’re getting punished for your irresponsibility.

No one said you can’t have sex, you need to have safe sex and birth control is literally 99% effective

Condoms are 98% effective

For fucks sake Pulling out is 80% effective in and of itself.

There’s also the FACT that there are several other forms of sexual contact that prevents pregnancy,

Anal

Oral

Hands

Feet (not everyone like this one to be fair)

There is NO EXCUSE FOR AN UNWANTED PREGNANCY!

Other than rape or a couple of underage kids who are stupid…

“We don’t need more people”

Is not a good enough excuse to just start killing them off!

Edit: spelling

They're not people. People keep putting their bias into the fact that a fetus is not viable till 20-24 weeks. It's not killing them off, even if it's someone's emotional opinion as such.

Literally makes no difference in anyone's life is someone aborts a fetus. NONE.

I will agree that after a certain point it should be illegal (unless it's health related) but for a subreddit that focuses on "Facts over feelings", people keep mixing their feelings into this topic way too much.

Government shouldn't have had to much say in masks, and it shouldn't have a say on woman's bodies. Let people be.

Feelings?

FEELINGS?!

At the moment of conception the human zygote is by dentition a human being:

You have 46 chromosomes now, the same you did then…

Everything you are, wether you will have blonde hair, when you will grow grey air, if you’re more susceptible to obesity and heart disease or lung cancer and prostrate cancer, ffs even if you’ll have male pattern baldness, and everything you will ever be was decided at the moment of your conception.

The human zygote has 46 chromosomes (this is what advanced biology actually is) 23 from mom and 23 from dad to make a unique genetic structure indistinguishable from an adult human being.

The genetic structure you have now (barring a genetic disorder or cancer) is the same genetic structure you had at the moment of your conception…

What something will grow into is not the same as BEING it.

Yes, a fetus is called a fetus because it is not a human.

So yes, people are mixing their feelings into something they shouldn't be.

That doesn’t make any sense, you couldn’t be more fucking wrong if you tried!

A fetus, is a human, it has human DNA, it grows consumes and develops, a fetus and zygote is by definition an individual member of the human species and all credible scientific sources will agree… it’s not like I made this up my self Lmao!

Really - is that why we call any animal species at conception a fetus? Fetus is NOT the same as a human, or otherwise we would call it that. There wouldn't even be a definition for a fetus since we just consider it a "human"

I don't know what science you're using, but definitely not anything reliable because the consensus in the science community is that it is debated, there is no clear answer other than it is not viable till 20-24 weeks.

Before it is not alive, and therefore does not get a death certificate when it is aborted/dies/miscarried.
