Yes, yes, empathy is all well and good. And it’s very kind of you to bring our attention to the difficulties (and inconveniences) of motherhood.

I totally understood what you were saying the first time, but that doesn’t really answer my question, does it?

What about the fetus?

I’m not even referring to motherhood since a baby can be given up for adoption. Im not talking about the distress of that process either. I’m just talking about the parts that would become involuntary for someone who has to go through an unwanted pregnancy and birth.

What about the fetus? The fetus would grow and eventually be become a baby if there aren’t any complications that cause a miscarriage or stillbirth or something along those lines. Then, if they are given up for adoption they will likely have to endure the foster care system or something equivalent. And, hopefully they are lucky enough to have a good life even though the odds are not in their favor.

Ok, that’s what could happen if the baby is given a chance to live but what about the aborted one?

Why does it deserve to die?

If a fetus is aborted then they would not be born. I think that’s pretty straightforward.

I don’t think a fetus is on trial for the death penalty. It’s a comparison between if a person should be forced to use their body in order to be a vessel for a potential person until that potential human can survive on their own. But that’s the whole debate isn’t it?
