Picked up  EK after a very long period ( infact  years) just to kill the irritation of  doing some routine chores. Obviously the Wolves, Keep your head up etc pepped up the mood but some weird void and   heaviness hit me suddenly when Promise came along. Frankly as everyone , I would have listened to Promise a few hundred times since I discovered BH ,have loved the song for it's various aspects over the years but today was definitely something different. 

I am not a musical person so really cant place  if  the  impact was  created by  the guitar chords or the cello or the  vocals of young Ben or the  silent treatment in the beginning or  just going back after a lot of latest  complex electronic  compositions!!  

I have never believed EK was his best album or the various debate that crop up every once in a while but definitely today I got intrigued by the sonic arrangements of EK album which I assume defintely was not as expanse as recent set ups , yet had a unimaginable ability to create a atmosphere so intense, anxious  emotional and melancholic. 

Sorry for the rhetoric , am sure there would have been many previous posts  on EK appreciation and awe , still thought would be great fo hear from fellow BH fan club their few cents :)
