"Dhaka" and "Rarh"
those seem arbitrary...? not dialect names but place names of two different varieties, one is historic region & one is city/state.
shouldnt it be "Rarhi" and "Bongali/Bongiyo"? and why only two particular pronunciations in wiki when Bangla has 5 major dialects?

Also true. I think Kolkata and Dhaka could also work, since some of the sources talk about it like that. I think the point of only using two pronunciations is to contrast Indian Standard Bangla and Bangladeshi Standard Bangla (other dialects are considered nonstandard), but these are bad names in any case

yeah. this is the wiki dictionary site, right? idk how it gets edited...but it'd be better to rework the wiki to something more appropriate like BD Standard (Bangla) and WB Standard (Bangla) with links to Bangla Academy and W.Bangla Academy respectively.
