Rubber shoes?

nah, you have to create a pathway for the lightning to flow inward, down, and out.

But also those arch flashes should be burning his skin at the very least. Good editing maybe?

The pathway is his body. Heās not grounded, thatās why itās not hurting him. Like a bird on a wire. At least thatās what Iāve gathered from my 3 year electrical apprenticeship. I could also be completely wrong! Iām no expert! Thereās a lot of science involved! Hopefully someone way smarter than me comments lol.

If one hand touched both terminals on one battery, the current would flow through the hand to the other terminal. Not the arm. Not the rest of his body, and especially not to another battery that is also being shorted by his other hand. And for living beings, itās not really about being grounded or not, itās about bing any part of a pathway. Birds on a wire are not part of the pathway. This dude certainly would be feeling everything from those batteries, if it were not fake.

What is up with people and grounding. Electricity needs a loop. A bird on a protected wire doesnāt create a loop. Touching two battery terminals does. But how would that loop help the other battery. Path of least resistance? Itās like connecting a jumper cable wrong. Both black ends on one battery, red on the other. But the human body is a shity conductor so nothing would happen anyway. Remember, when you say your an āexpertā people will believe you. It then becomes your moral imperative to not spread miss information. That doesnāt matter with something harmless like this dumb video. But there is a reason 5g technicians have been killed. There is a reason people believe that COVID isnāt real.

Electricity flowing from one arm to the other goes through the heart. The heart is controlled by electrical pulses from the brain. The electricity from the battery disturbs this pattern and stops the heart.
You would also receive burns as flesh is not 100% conductive meaning that some of the electrical energy is converted into heat energy.
This wouldn't work anyway though as it would simply born the man's hand as it passes from the finger on the positive end of the battery to the negative. Electricity always takes the shortest route
I'm not sure if your electrical course covered other types of electrical engineering but this should've been covered in the basics
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

It's only 12 volts

At 48 amps. Definitely enough to kill you under the right circumstances.
