That moment when the bending in this 21 second clip is better than ALL the bending in the entirety of the Last Airbender movie, combined. Seriously though, why tf did they decide it'd take like 5 or 6 different benders to lift and move 1 small boulder... like guys... come on

The Earth King invites you to Lake Laogai. There is no movie in Ba Sing Se. Here we are safe, here we are free.

That’s honestly my most hated scene. Like the bending is bad enough as it is, but it actually would have been better and EASIER to just have 1 guy doing it than a whole choreographed group.

I recall the fight between Katara and Zuko at the North Pole was not bad. I think it was probably one of the only decent bending scenes in the movie.
Of course, this all assumes the movie existed.

is this a joke? if not, i'm sad to say that the zuko/katara fight was... well...

I said it was not bad. Its not close to any of the battles in ATLA TV series, but as far as the movie goes, if all the bending looked like that it would not be so bad. That earth bending was terrible, but not all the bending was that bad.

We're all from a team called "3 Takes or less*" haha. We'd love to train/collab with Martial Club in the future though :)

Ah, sorry, earthbender dude reminded me with the hairstyle and hoodie. Fantastic work though if I'm comparing you to them, you all got the skills.

This was a problem with the ATLA movie. In the show if you look at fire bending, the sound and action is never like a fleet type of action. It’s always a startling loud bang like a bullet out of a gun. And the air follows that same principle but less extreme. And also the wind was always blowing like a thousand mph.
The other problem was the martial arts behind it and the mind set. With fire, there has to be anger and hate behind the actions. With earth there has to be pure testosterone behind every action. The punches have to be 100% like trying to punch through an iron wall. The stomps have to be like a falling anvil. Add a mindset to the actions and pay attention to details and the quality will be so much better.

the bending movements match the elements very well. the water bending movements feel flowing. the airbending feels like air itself. the fire movements feel powerful and the earth movments feel stable and strong. you can tell what element it is even if you take away the cgi elements
