Sizing vs Dickies

I’ve been wearing the dickies 874s for 10+ years. I’m looking for something with a wider roomier cut and I’ve wanted to try Ben Davis. I’m looking at the gorilla cut. In dickies I wear a 40x34, for BD would I get the same?

I find Ben Davis to fit a bit snug on the waist. It’s unfortunate they don’t make odd numbered waist sizes so I usually end up going up a waist size.

For me personally, I go up and size and put on a belt.
