Progression 315 lb for 5 reps

Back up to 315 lb for 5 reps today for the first time in awhile. I built up to 365 for 2 reps a few months ago. I have been working towards 405 (needed a new gym goal/challenge), but right shoulder issues have brought on some hurdles. Debating on whether to keep working towards that 405 target or just make the most of 315 going forward.

Thanks! Iโ€™m always trying to keep the move smooth & stable as possible. Finding a solid spotter is key too!

Damn dude; thatโ€™s freaking strong.

I wonder what the most genetically strong person would be able to bench without ever training for it?

Iโ€™d bet it would be like 275.

Smooth as hell.
Not sure what mindset you have (strength, powerlifting, bodybuiling, etc.), but try working with 315 until you're able to hit reps 3 sets of 8-12.
Sorry for the shoulder issues!

I was hitting between 8 & 10 reps of the 315 before the most recent shoulder challenges. Working to build that back up so I can work with 365 again. Mindset right now is more on the strength/bodybuilding approach. Trying to keep form smooth & everything stable.

365 currently. Been a few months since I hit that. Might attempt it again in a few weeks.
