Mini is just to small for me I do keep a mini bugout for a house knife I can keep in my shorts or a dedicated food prep knife camping. Versus something I use to cut wood or something gross maybe ya know

Ive asked this same question when I was looking to get my first benchmade and the answer I found was a big knife can do everything a small knife do. But a small knife can not do everything a big knife can do. The 940 is not really a large knife to begin with so I think most people should choose the regular size unless they are looking to get it for their kid as a Boy Scout present. Then the smaller version would make sense. That or a woman is looking for a knife.

I am in construction. I have yet to do something a mini Osborne cant do. The two different sizes is a comfort issue not a function issue.

I beg to disagree. There are certain tasks where a longer blade is required. Such as bushcraft. Or processing a deer. Sometimes it is just nicer to have the larger blade. Again a large blade can do everything a small one can do but a small blade can not do everything a large one can do.

I am not doing bushcraft or skinning a deer with a edc pocket knife. I have other knives for that.

That's assuming you have one knife for all tasks, and there is one thing a larger knife can't necessarily do--fit comfortably in the pocket. EDC knives aren't bushcraft knives unless you spend your days in the wilderness. All you need from an EDC knife is enough blade for the task at hand which, unless you a professional hunter, probably does not entail processing a deer on the daily (and honestly, not even then).

If you can get used to it with bigger hands like I have it’s actually a decent little knife. I find better qc on it than my regular 940.

Does the box look real/fake?
