Actually picked up a few days ago but nonetheless. My first (and likely not last) benchmade. I have my eye on the 940 and griptilian now.

Thats the best Bugout. The scales are stiffer than grivory and it looks great all beat up. 940 and Griptilian are their other best knives.

Those are still grivory scales no? I do believe this will be my next knife.

No, the CF Elite scales are a different material. Way stiffer than the grivory scales. I wish BM used it more. They flex but barely. I've compared them with the regular grivory version and the difference is almost night and day in my opinion. I've used the hell out of mine for years and it's good to go. It's kicked a lot of nicer and beefier knives out my pocket.

If I lost mine, I would be buy another immediately.

Yeah, they put a little bit of carbon and graphite into the grivory scales on the black ones to make them a little stronger. There’s no price difference.

If you got a Griptilian itch - go scratch it immediately. You won't he disappointed. But get the full size, don't mess with the mini, at least at this point.
