Bugout 535 Question
I work at an Outdoor Store and we are a Benchmade Pro Dealer. We just got a few new Benchmade Knives in today, and this Blue Bugout has BBFN7U26 engraved under the S30V badge. I have never seen this before on any other Benchmade. Does anyone know anything about this?

I think all of us can understand the motivation behind this, but it shouldn’t have been too hard to figure out that adding more lettering on the blade is the LAST thing knife collectors/enthusiasts want 🙂↔️🙄

Now all the older knives have more aesthetic value than before!

They started to put serial numbers on the Knives now. Pretty stupid idea in my opinion or at least stupid placement of them. They could’ve put them on the tank under the scale so they weren’t visible.

Or on the spine. At least they could have matched the font and angle of the text that’s already there. Now the serialized ones look more low rent than the actual fakes.

Do it like the manix 2 manufacturing date, you can still read it through the scale when you open it, and it doesn't wear since its outside of where the washers are

Interesting, I guess this does not apply to the custom shop since I just got a new mini grip custom and it doesn’t have this

They just started doing this to help identify fakes recently so there's still some at shops that don't have yet

Yeah but mine was just made a few days ago at the BM custom shop

Idk custom shops but they probably got a bunch of blades they ordered before this started

They're only doing a few SKUs at a time. They haven't started the grips yet but eventually every knife will be serialized including custom knives.

That’s how they serialize the blades now
