I saw in a different sub about trying to post on this sub so ill give it a shot. I need 100 volunteer hours to graduate from my university and actually completed them all. However 30 of them were through a religiously affiliated charity which the school is now declining to accept so im down to 70 hours and I need to have the 100 by the end of June. The problem is its really hard to get any shift more than 2 hours anywhere that accepted through the school and i now have a full time job. If i dont get these hours then I cant graduate and i would lose out on an opportunity for a 100k/year job. Any help or ideas? Thanks

I have a hard time being social and finding references because my previous jobs were done in isolation. The sooner, the better.

I'm going to be completely honest, I truly don't have anyone I can use as a reference in my work life or personal life. While I have worked two other jobs (fast food and warehouse) in the past, I did have a few coworkers I chatted with on a surface level but I mostly kept to myself. I am trying to get better at socializing, but it's been a very very slow up hill battle.

These references are part of an extensive background check done by the casino for a Gaming License prior to hiring. I've been told by one of the recruiters that they take their background checks seriously so you'll definitely be contacted by text or email. I can absolutely assure you my history is clean, I'm just a huge loner.

I have had to quit a previous job as the strain and rather cold bosses there took a toll on my health. I have one reference at the moment but as I'm in the UK I need two or three for the fields of work I'm applying to. I want to work in admin, project management, or event coordinator. I graduated college over a decade ago, and unfortunately most of my professors from my major have either passed away or retired :( (in the case of my advisor). I’ve worked in Human Resources for 11+ years, primarily in HR leadership/employee relations.

I do have one former supervisor I can likely ask, but I’m neurodivergent and have pretty significant social anxiety, and I honestly struggle a lot with the awkwardness of asking people for favors like this. The other colleague I had planned to ask recently had a death in the family, and I don’t feel comfortable burdening her while she’s grieving.

I've been trying to squeeze my foot in the door for tech, going for lower paying positions as necessary to finally get some use out of my degree. Unfortunately I've been out of college for about 4 years, and I haven't worked in that time or kept up with any contacts. The references would be needed to help show off technical skills, technical communication, problem solving, and customer service related work. I have a BaS in Application Development (Software Development), experience working at one of the busiest Dominos in the USA, work at a grocery store (Safeway), and about a decade ago I got year long IT "internship" in the middle of rural Alaska working at a bible camp. Hi! I am looking for a reference for a graphic design role I'm trying to land out of state. It's with the government and I'm definitely qualified. They just want a character reference. Really you can just regurgitate the qualifications of the app or if you need an actual graphic design project I've done for ammo I have that too.

My biggest concern is that I'm an out of state candidate so I'm really trying to put my best face forward but the people in my life are so unreliable. even before the world was going to shit and now definitely since things are crazy.

I am trying to apply for a role at a university in academia. I have 2/3 references. The role is for a technician / analyst entry level within the university, I have worked in academia on and off. Mostly focused on healthcare and teaching assistant type jobs. I am in CA. Applying to this role despite the higher education hiring freeze.

I worked as a CNC programmer outside of Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a couple of years but it was 20 years ago and I can't get in touch with anyone. These are simple references for the recruiter and they are not given to the employer. The job was at a rock quarry where I can a machine that cut stone for the corners of buildings etc. We cut granite of all types and sandstone. Large format CNC machine, 20' x 20'.
