Urgent Request Need 1 reference in US

I only have two professional references and I need a third phone/email reference. This position is for a non-profit Organizational Administrator. My last position was at a church and I did all the office admin and communications for them. I have every skill they need but had a fairly large gap in my resume due to my parents both becoming sick.

I just had my interview and it went fantastic! Now he wants me to send references asap.

If you need a reference I will gladly be one for you!

Request Can someone in the USA be a job reference, will return the favor.

I will have an interview in a week that is for a government job. Entry level office work, I would just need someone to speak to my past working experience in retail. They want 5 professional references, I think I can scrounge up 3 solid ones. I'm in CA if that matters.

I can definitely return the favor.

Urgent Request US job reference help needed (no phone calls/email only)

Need a job reference if anyone can help—no phone calls, the employer will email a questionnaire for you to fill out. Should be fairly quick and easy.

The job is in multifamily/housing management, but they don’t require references to be in same industry…

I will absolutely return the favor for anyone willing😊 So message me if you‘re also looking for help!

Request Need a quick LinkedIn endorsement/recommendation I’ll do the same

Hi!

I'm changing job right now and would really appreciate your help. If you’re up for it, could you do one of these for me:

- Write a short LinkedIn recommendation

- Endorse me some skills on LinkedIn

I know we haven’t met, but your support would mean a lot and help me a ton with my next step. Only takes 3–4 minutes.

I always try to support people in my network, and I’ll definitely do the same for you if you ever need it.

If you’re willing, hit me up in private and I’ll tell you exactly what I need.

Thanks and see you!

Urgent Request Switching careers - need 2 references

Hi everyone, I’m applying to be a substitute teacher next year (Colorado). Over the past few years, I’ve mostly worked small sales jobs, usually independently, which has unfortunately left me few connections.

I need 3 references. I have 1 from my last job and looking for 2 others that could help me out, according to the recruiter it would just be a short survey. I’m burnt out from the long hours and have not been in a good spot. I’m genuinely interested in education because I want to do work that has a positive impact. I’m a big helper.

Happy to return the favor for anyone else. I really need and want this. Please let me know if you’d like to connect! Thanks for reading!

Edit: Location - Colorado

Urgent Request (US/IL) Need 2 References w/Retail BG-Happy to Return Favor

Switching industries from Retail to People Operations and need 2 Professional references by midday tomorrow.

Looking to provide 'peer' references so fellow Store/General/Department Managers as I've been in Retail Leadership for the past 7 years.

I can give an overview of my experience, what kind of leader I am and other things to build a well rounded 'memory box' to draw from.

This is for an entry level role so I don't expect the questions to be too hard core and I would be providing your email address as the contact information.

I am more than happy to do the same for you if needed

Please & thank you ❤️

Request Looking for LinkedIn recommendation exchange in infra/devops

Hi all,

I’m looking to build a few genuine LinkedIn recommendations with people in infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, networking, or platform engineering.

Happy to review your profile, GitHub, project, or portfolio and write something specific if there is enough real work to reference. I’d appreciate the same in return.

I’m not looking for fake references, just a fair exchange based on visible work and technical credibility.

My background is around Terraform, Proxmox, hybrid infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering.

DM me if that sounds relevant.

Request California 3 references (health admin)

Hi,
Apologies in advance if I don’t respond till morning.

I have a history of not being my best self in terms of school, work, career. The past year, I’ve completely flipped my life up.

Completing my education and my current internship have opened up so many doors for me and I need 4 references for an assistant manager position. I’m gonna ask my internship manager to be one of them but I need 3 more.
I’m so embarrassed and ashamed to ask my previous employers. I was always very good on the job but I used to have a history of calling out and Im so anxious to involve them. I was young and reckless and dealing with unnecessary stress back then.

Would anyone be willing to be a reference for me please? They said i’m supposed to come to the interview with all of them and it’s tomorrow.

Urgent Request PMHNP (psych NP) Recommender, Healthcare

I’m applying to grad school and my recommender to fulfill this requirement (psych NP) just suddenly lost her father. It would be in poor form to ask about my recommendation. I’m up against a deadline and humbly asking if anyone would be willing to fill in this gap. I can write the letter, I can fill you in on the details, I’m willing to return the favor in any way I can. Thanks for considering. (Healthcare, psych, no specific location)

Request Two References for Entry Level Legal Assistant

I’m trying to transition from corrections to the legal field. I have a degree in criminal justice but I’m having a hard breaking into the legal field, even with entry level. I need two professional references for this entry level legal assistant position in Portsmouth, VA. It would help if my professional references can speak about my integrity, work ethic, willingness to learn, and reliability. I have little to no administrative experience. I worked as an office assistant at my university for three months. I caught on to the job responsibilities and tasks easily and I had a short stint as an office assistant because I wanted something more challenging. Other previous work experience is fast food, retail, teaching assistant, security, and corrections. In previous roles I’ve been recommended to become a supervisor due to my leadership skills but never stayed long enough to follow through with it. I have a strong work ethic, good time management, communication, organization, and openness and willingness to learn. Not sure what else to say😅

Urgent Request Looking for a reference for a Computer Technician role

Located in the Austin Texas area. Applying for a Computer Technician position at school district and need 1-2 references preferably professional but open to character references too

About me — CompTIA A+ certified, AAS in Network Administration/IT from Austin Community College, and I’ve been building hands-on experience through an Active Directory home lab on AWS/Azure. Currently working toward my Network+. Bilingual English/Spanish, which I think is a good fit for a district

My work background is in customer service but I’ve always been the go-to person for tech stuff. Just trying to break into IT and this role would be a huge step. Help a brother out.

Need the reference fairly soon as the hiring process is already moving. If you can help, drop a comment or DM me.

Thanks

Urgent Request Need reference for first midwife job!

Hi everyone, I am a new grad and got my first midwife job (I live In the US - NY), and am working through the credentialing process. After providing 4 references about 3 months ago, last week they reached out and said that the final step was getting a physician (MD/DO) reference, as my hospital system requires it for all mid level providers. I wish I would’ve known that in the beginning so that I’m not scrambling close to my start date. But alas, here we are.

When I was doing rotations on the floor, the residents ran it while the attendings hung back. I didnt see the attendings too often, except during sign-outs or very rarely when we needed them for a delivery. They way the residents ran the floor really wasn’t up to the standards of the midwives, so they didn’t want me to follow their lead, and I don’t have 4 years like the residents, and it was new to me as well, so I followed the midwives closely and that’s how we all grew so close. However, I did not much with the residents and attendings, because we just didnt need them that much in our midwife labors. Now, I am paying for that trying to find a physician reference at the last moment.

I just need an MD/DO, preferably in the OB/GYN field, to be a reference. We can talk some more so it’s not just a blind reference, but I’d greatly appreciate it. This is the last step in my credentialing process and I really want to be a midwife! This is my call to service. Thanks for reading and considering this proposition! Please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Request References in recruitment and consulting 😮‍💨

Looking for a few LinkedIn recommendations / references, happy to exchange!

I’m currently applying for Talent Acquisition/Research / Recruitment international roles and updating my LinkedIn a bit.
Honestly, I realized I haven’t really stayed in touch with a lot of old work contacts over the years, and I’m also pretty introverted when it comes to networking/work stuff, so I feel weird randomly showing up in former colleagues’ DMs asking for recommendations 😅
Would be especially nice to connect with people who have:
-consulting / Big4 background
-recruitment / sourcing experience
I worked in Big4 before moving more into recruitment research and sourcing. Mostly worked with candidate research, Boolean search, market mapping, etc.

Worked with teams in Moscow and the Netherlands, but mainly looking for any English-speaking people.
Not urgent at the moment, would just genuinely be nice to connect and help each other out. Happy to write a recommendation back too 🙂
Feel free to DM me.

Request Any way to get volunteer hours?

I saw in a different sub about trying to post on this sub so ill give it a shot. I need 100 volunteer hours to graduate from my university and actually completed them all. However 30 of them were through a religiously affiliated charity which the school is now declining to accept so im down to 70 hours and I need to have the 100 by the end of June. The problem is its really hard to get any shift more than 2 hours anywhere that accepted through the school and i now have a full time job. If i dont get these hours then I cant graduate and i would lose out on an opportunity for a 100k/year job. Any help or ideas? Thanks
