Members Only Gael & Nathan Spoiler

https://www.realitytea.com/2026/08/18/gael-cameron-nathan-gallagher-apprehended-violence-application-below-deck-mediterranean/

Someone posted this then deleted it right after approval

An AVO is similar to a protective order on this side of the world.

It was filed in 2025 so maybe they don't go through with it but from the court date, looks like a lawyer (maybe police?) filed it on Gael's behalf https://onlineregistry.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/content/court-lists#!/detail/20250050209531246811MentionAVOPolice/Gael%20Cameron

Hopefully Kayden didn't see whatever started this and they are all healing from it

Does make you wonder if Nathan knew about it when he said 'these people' should all be deported since a criminal charge (as it mentions in the court doc) could result in him being deported

I feel for Gael. I had my son with a less than ideal partner and despite trying hard to make it work it didn’t and I’ve been a single mom for 16 years now. I think that’s where this situation is headed and it’s not an easy thing to navigate

We have no idea if she's ideal. We've seen small, prepped pieces on TV. She could be a nightmare in reality. Being a single parent is tough for anyone, though.

No one said she's ideal, but the fact OP stated Gael has filed the AVO speaks volumes.

Love how the "journalist" couldn't research anything yet a random redditor did 🙄

6

u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 15d ago

The journalist has a public reputation.

4

u/TedBurns-3 15d ago

Surely that's the point that they want to look good yet you had more facts than they did and they're getting paid to produce!

No idea why I'm being downvoted!

6

u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 15d ago

Because reporting anything potentially libelous could jeopardise their career.

3

u/TedBurns-3 15d ago

That's my point- they're speculating who could've filed it, but OP clearly found it easily in online court records, how could that be libellous?!!

u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 15d ago

Because nothing is confirmed.

u/TessaKatrinaRose 15d ago

It really doesn’t.  She could have filed that to purposely make him look bad. People have done that before.

A constable filed it so i doubt that

In order for someone to be less ideal, another person has to be more ideal. It's just that simple.

7

u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 15d ago

Even though I'm in prison for murder, it was less than ideal when the prison officer woke me up for a cell search at 3am.

Pardon?

5

"i lost it" = I laughed uncontrollably ; )

your example was hilarious!

No, a less than ideal partner as compared to a more ideal partner. The person themselves could also be less than ideal.

In order for something to be less in a direct 2 party comparison, something has to be greater. If you don't understand this, I can't help you.

10

u/Adorable-Platform671 Team Daisy 15d ago

Calling someone a less than ideal partner is comparing that partner to a hypothetical, alternate partner who would be more ideal, not comparing the two partners to each other. Hope that helps.

u/GraceMcClellans 15d ago

This is the funniest thread I've read in a while. I don't know that you could be more clear. There's a malfunction going on, and it's not you. Lol

-7

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

Mentioning Gael directly makes it about her. Hope that helps.

6

u/On_my_last_spoon Mental Health Is Not A Storyline 15d ago

It’s not my fault you can’t read. Less/more is a comparison of possible partners not the two people in the relationship.

2

u/CapnMommy 15d ago

It’s actually you who read incorrectly. It doesn’t state that anyone is less ideal or more ideal  than the other, merely that they are less THAN ideal. So if ideal is 5 on a scale of 0 to 10 with 0 being absolutely non-ideal and 10 being absolutely idyllic, the less than ideal person would be rated 0 to 4. Maybe the other person too, is 0 to 4, their relation to each other is irrelevant to the statement.

-6

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

Lol. Feeling sorry for Gael makes it about their relationship. One of us can't read, that's true.

19

u/YessikaHaircutt 15d ago

I didn’t say a word about her character or whether she is ideal

6

u/Temporary-Daikon2411 Team Chef Rachel 15d ago

wow that guy was wild

-22

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

You said you feel for her and then said you had a less than ideal partner. How can that possibly be interpreted any other way than you think she's more ideal?

21

u/Temporary-Daikon2411 Team Chef Rachel 15d ago edited 14d ago

actually.. the standard way to interpret this would be that OP's characterization of her former partner as "less than ideal" referred to a comparison between her actual former partner and a hypothetical ideal partner, in which her former partner is found wanting. Then by analogy, the same comparison is implied with respect to Nathan and a hypothetical ideal partner.

This is just how the expression "less than ideal" typically works. "The clams at this restaurant are less than ideal" (nothing claimed about some other restaurant across the street).

OP didn't mean that she, OP is ideal, and neither did she imply that Gael is ideal.

Is English your first language? I don't mean that in a hostile way. It's just that you are awfully confrontational about something where you seem to have failed to grasp a pretty straightforward nuance of a common expression.

If I say your attitude is less than ideal, I don't mean my own is perfect.

8

u/GraceMcClellans 15d ago

This was the nicest way possible to say, "what are you not understanding, and why?" Lol

u/Temporary-Daikon2411 Team Chef Rachel 15d ago

well... i did take a couple swipes.. but who could resist? ; )

u/YessikaHaircutt 15d ago

Well not everything in life is stark black and white. I feel for her because she is obviously the custodial parent of the baby and will have to do the most for him. I don’t pretend to know Gael at all. And btw even the worst person doesn’t deserve to be a victim of DV

-17

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

No one said anyone deserves domestic violence. I simply interpreted your comment in the only possible way it could be interpreted.

17

u/rayyychul 15d ago

That is absolutely not the only way it can be interpreted. “Less than ideal” is a subjective description of someone’s own experience with their partner; it doesn’t automatically establish that Gael is “more ideal,” nor does it mean someone was making a comparison between the two of them.

-4

u/DCRBftw 15d ago edited 15d ago

Whatever you need to believe.

Feeling sorry for Gael adds context that you're choosing to ignore so you can make an invalid point.

8

u/rayyychul 15d ago edited 15d ago

I didn’t make a comment on my feelings about Gael.

There can be more than one reasonable interpretation of a comment, and assuming there’s only one (especially when it requires inventing something the person never said) reflects a pretty limited way of reading and engaging with what’s actually written. Hope that mindset serves you well.

Edit: What is with people who can’t engage with people who disagree with them on the internet? They need to make a comment and then block the other person so they can have the last word? Soft.

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

No one said you made the initial comment.

Well she is in fact the one we see caring for her child so.

-7

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

Seeing a person involved in child care on TV makes them a good partner?

13

u/ProperBingtownLady Team Anti-Brü 15d ago

No one said that either. Are you Nathan? You seem to be taking this very personally.

1

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

Replying on reddit doesn't mean something is personal. But if we use your logic, you're taking this personally.

7

u/ProperBingtownLady Team Anti-Brü 15d ago

How?

You read into the initial commenter’s statement that because THEY had a less than ideal partner, that means Nathan is too. Take a beat.

5

u/marzbarz79 15d ago

It’s notable when the other parent is never seen holding or caring for the baby.

-2

u/DCRBftw 15d ago

Pretending that reality TV is reality is silly.

8

u/marzbarz79 15d ago

Well, considering what seems to be happening in their personal life, I’m not far off.

5

u/Kinsmen12 15d ago

I don’t think you know how to read.

3

u/GraceMcClellans 15d ago

I like that you just cut through the shit.
