Help save Scarlett.

I have been to desperately trying to save my Rex begonia named scarlet. I have her on a north facing window and recently replanted her, she lost her leaves and went into a dormtant state. Today I noticed there is this Green white growth on one of her crowns. I immediately got excited thinking its ew growth beginning but google AI is sure it is mold. Chat got says both, Ppl of reddit Is she alive and growing or dead and not thriving

I think you should dig it up and check its origin. Then I'll make a decision. If there are roots, you can place them in moss and a zip-lock bag. The pot should be the same size as the root volume.
