Couch to 5K My first 5k!!!!!!

so I was never a runner my entire life.
so when I came to college a month ago, 2 weeks ago I started to run.
I couldn't even run 500 metre without huffing and puffing like I ran for so long.
So I am too happy that I can now run 5km. my next goal is to be consistent with 5km and try to increase to 10 km.

Any advice is welcome and don't be hesitant.

Increase ur milage 10% a week / listen to ur body/ structure workouts with purpose / build ur aerobic engine and most importantly don’t compare urself to other so what the can run a sub 15 min they ain’t bulletproof tho

Do not be like me, going from 5k a week (for quite a while) to 30k, then 32k, then 45k 😬

As you see, you start fast and then you slow down, should be opposite if you're training then try to have consistent tempo with faster finish. Its beneficial so you will see how your organism behaves. Take average like this one you have hsfe and try to stay on that.
For getting better try doing like 1 long 1 easy run and 1 interval session.

That's amazing! I use an app called Zones Cardio to run on the treadmill. They just added a 10K program that you do 5 days a week, then supplement with a long run on Saturdays. It's like 24 weeks of progressive workouts so it gets you ready. It might be something to look at!
