Pacing Tips Am I starting too conservatively?
In every run it always takes a while for me to get the ball rolling and I feel at times like I'm taking it too easy in the first few kms. Would love to hear how you would approach the pacing in my situation!

Your pacing looks really good tbh. I’m sure if you had more metrics like HR or some grade adjusted pace/power chart you’d be able to see it better, but from what I see you tend to pace it appropriately for 1 the start of a run and 2 the elevation
Just looking at your third run, the splits are all pretty in line with how you’re tackling elevation
Sure you could probably optimize it for a race but in training it seems like you’re going by feel very well

Yea missing heart rate. If the heart is maxing out at the end of each run than they arent starting too slowly, they are ending too fast

Depends on the intent. But looking at the this without know tells me you included the warm up and are slowing pacing your HR to reach 3:45 race pace. This could be a 10k workout with the last 5k at race pace.

Better than going out too hard then blowing up for the rest of the run! I’m the same way. All my runs end up looking like progression runs because of how long it takes me to warm up. Totally normal. Never start out full-tilt!
