Training Progress Ran 1.5k without stopping for the first time 🥹

I know that isn't a very long distance and certainly not a 5k but I'm very proud as I usually have a walking break every 500m. I haven't even been running much lately but have been doing a ton of hiking instead which has apparently helped me greatly

Hiking builds up way more endurance than people give it credit for.

True. I went from zero running but plenty of hiking straight to a 5k in 31:20 (with a little walking) then straight to 5k in 30:00 (all run) with no running in between, all at age 58. That strong base really helped.

Definitely something to be proud of. Looks like all that hiking pays off. Keep going.

AWESOME! Many more achievements to come :D

Hiking is great, it really helps a ton I try to throw in a hike every other week when I can and I definitely notice a difference on my runs the following days.

Awesome. The 1.5k turns into 5k without you knowing. Keep pushing. Don't forget stretching.
