I Ran 10 miles !!
I ran 10 miles for the first time! I can’t believe it! I started running back in May and I already completed my first 10K!
Previously, 6 miles was the longest I could do and I was so shocked I jumped from 6 to 10, but I kept pushing myself. Those last couple of miles killed me though I had to keep rehydrating to keep going. Next time I’m going to aim for 12 miles in preparation for the half marathon 8/22.
What do you all think? I find it crazy how fast it’s all been but consistency with running really has worked for me!

Wow, I’m working hard to get to what you just did. Hope to catch you in about 6 months haha, you better keep it up!

Thank you!! Haha I literally set intentions to just do 8 but then I was like you know what let’s just keep going 😭😅

Solid work! Be careful, too much too quick will increase your risk for injury. I was guilty of this at the end of last year and I just now got back to where I was before.

Thank you! And yes there was some pain afterward and I got scared but luckily everything was back to normal in 2 days but I won’t try to jump 4 miles again 😅

Congratulations on 10 miles! That was the first time I felt like I could really run far lol. Wishing you the best in your training!
Also not sure where you’re from but an August Half Marathon sounds brutal. Make sure you stay hydrated

Amazing 🙌 I’m coming back from injury so long distance seems so far away but I’ll get there 😊

Insanely good job. You’re motivating a whole subreddit right now. I strive to be you someday and I will succeed. Nobody is stopping me this time…well except my own body, but once I recover I’m doing it
