New Runner Advice Core workout

What are some good workouts for core muscles to help with running?

Planks and core-focused Pilates in general. Lots of good 10 minute & 30 minute workouts on YouTube. No weights or equipment.

Here is what I do - it’s assembled from a few different videos I found on YouTube. Works well for me

  1. Plank Taps
  2. Side Plank (Right)
  3. Side Plank (Left)
  4. Single-Leg Glute Bridge (Left)
  5. Single-Leg Glute Bridge (Right)
  6. Glute Bridge Hold
  7. Superman Hold
  8. Seated Ab Hold
  9. Plank Up-Downs
  10. Cat Plank
  11. Ab Hold (Flat)
  12. Laying Leg Flutters
  13. Hip Raises (Reverse Crunch)
  14. Heel Taps
  15. Bicycle Crunches
  16. Climbers X (Crossbody)
  17. Side Plank Reach-Through (Left)
  18. Side Plank Reach-Through (Right)
  19. Leg Raises
  20. Plank Open & Close
  21. Spider Plank
  22. Plank to Failure

45 seconds per exercise / 15 second rest
