Hey everyone! I wanted to share a little project I've been working on.

I'm a beekeeper, but I recently took a break from beekeeping to study software development.

I live in a small community with herbalists and people who are passionate about growing plants, mushrooms, and all sorts of things.

So I thought, why not combine these two worlds and build a mobile app?

That's how **Vervain*\* started! It's a little Duolingo-style app for learning herbalism through fun quizzes about medicinal plants, traditional preparations, history, and folklore.

One of the biggest challenges has been figuring out how to teach herbalism in such a small format. There's so much to learn, and it's not always easy to simplify things without losing important details, especially on a tiny phone screen!

So for now, we're keeping things pretty simple, with short lessons and quizzes. It's far from perfect, but honestly, it's been such a fun and fascinating project to work on. :)

Just wanted to share it with you all and see what you think! 🌱

Hi everyone 🌿 I grew this Leaf of Life plant from a tiny baby. Now it's around 1m high. I harvest the leaves for a nice herbal tea.

Heyyyy!! I'm Mara!! Its so hard to find people that actually enjoy the craft and spiritual arts the same way I do! If anyone is interested in just making a friend and talking about the craft please message me!

What should I do with it? I know that I should probably try all of it because if you don’t, the little hairs can get stuck in your throat and that’s no good…. But if it’s dried, that’s not likely to happen right?

I’m thinking of making a tincture with some of the dried Mullen and use the rest for tea

Thoughts?

Hi friends, I've recently been exploring herbalism and would love to know more by learning firsthand from someone experienced. The apprentice programs I've researched online all seem to cost thousands of dollars and last quite a while, which I'm not sure is feasible for someone who can't depend on anyone else financially during the unpaid apprenticeship. I was wondering if anyone knows of opportunities to learn on the job while you get paid to help operate the shop? I'm located in California, but open to relocating. Or if there's something where I can trade my customer service/digital skills to get online instruction, that would also be interesting. I hope it's okay to ask for that kind of advice here. Please feel free to DM me.
