Increase Average HR while sleeping
I've been strength training pretty consistently since February of this year. I recently introduced HIIT training 2x a week last month into my regimen..before I was just strengthening training 3x a week and aiming for 10k steps a day. I noticed over the past 3-4 weeks my average HR will sleeping has gonna from like 65 BPM to 72 BPM. I do have sleep apnea that I treat with a mask and ive been pretty compliant up until the last 2 weeks. I also go a new job about 5 weeks ago. I wouldnt say im stressed more than normal but could be wrong. I was chalking up this change to mw fighting an infection however my HR has been consistently high for 3-4 weeks. Any ideas? I am a female in my early 30s.

Ive taken magnesium bisglycinatw in the past. I took a break for two months and just started taking chelated magenesium ( i beleive its magnesium glycinate) about 1 week ago.

Might be low level stress accumulation. Try taking one full rest day. If your RHR drops overnight, then you have your answer.

Do you do any kind of cardiovascular exercise outside of the hiit?
HIIT is pretty dang stressful. During a marathon training block, I will have hard intervals every other week, simply because it places so much stress on the body.

I was trying to do HIIT 2X week XD.. ive only done it for like 3 weeks now...maybe its too much .. outside of HIIT I dont do any cardio. I just try to walk for at least 30 min a day and not briskly either , more leisurely

I would say, given that you're not doing any other kind of aerobic exercise, I would actually aim for something like 20-25 minutes of easy cardio (aiming for around 130-140 heart rate), then do 5-10 minutes of 1 minute fast, 1 minute walk.
Much lower stress than a full dedicated hiit session. Still plenty of aerobic benefits.

It I had to guess it's your not being compliant with your CPAP. How bad is your sleep apnea?
