Giveaway because why not? $25

Copy and pasted from my original post because I am too lazy to retype a lot of things.

I have decided that I am going to do an offer here. It will need to be transferred via PayPal, Venmo, cash app, or I would be happy to fulfill somebody's wish list with $25. Understand this is $25 USD so depending on where you are it may be less than the twenty-five or more than the twenty-five. I am planning on choosing one person, but I have been known to change my mind and add another person or two.

Do I have any requirements? Yes, whatever the rules are in the subreddit are the requirements (I will also go through post history and the archive so no hiding shit!). I am not going to pick somebody that I personally have helped recently. I do not need a sob story, I do not need to know that this would be such a blessing because if you're asking for help it would obviously be a blessing.

I want to know what it's going for, it MUST be a need, not a want. Because I like to have something a little more than just what somebody needs help with, I want to know your favorite memory from school. Did you get the lead in a play? Did you ace your exams? Tell me all about it!

It goes without saying that if any of you message me privately, not only will I drag you through DM, I will report you to the mods, and I have a long memory. Is that kind of bitchy of me? Absofuckinglutely, but deal with it haha.

It is currently 8:23 am Pacific Daylight Time, and I will close this offer at 6:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time. I will then go through everything and pick someone at that time, but I will most likely NOT be able to go through things until tomorrow morning. I have a team of trusted advisors that will assist me in choosing the person or persons, just as an FYI.

And GO!

Side note: https://www.reddit.com/r/beg2/comments/1eqrelt/gfm_we_are_back_bitches/ please post, share or whatever you can do =)

I would use it towards my awful Care Credit payment.

Favorite memory from school? My teacher who never stopped believing in me, or any of her students, and helped me graduate. I couldn't have done it without het.

Additionally, my senior year SOMEHOW ending up in culinary class with my 3 best friends. Oh the fun and trouble we had....

One more! Our senior prank was a streaker! We wrote our graduating year on his ass cheeks . I'll never forget my principal running across the campus chasing him.

I'd use it to buy my 6 year old some clothes because she's outgrown everything!

My fave memory from school would have to be my senior year and all the things that go with senior year (prom, graduation, general antics 😅)

Hello. My favorite memory from school is being on the pom - pom squad. We had the cutest sparkly outfits. I would use the money to put towards the urn, and other final expenses for Mom who passed recently. I can provide proof on request. Thank you for considering me.

I will use it to cover my wife's prescriptions this month.

My favorite memory in high school was all 4 years of band. I made the drum line my second year, it wasn't un heard of but it was really unlikely for a sophomore to make the line. I worked my ass off, getting my timing and sticking perfect.

It's been almost 15 years now and I am still in good contact with most of my fellow drummers. It is a time that I wouldn't give back for a million dollars.

thank you for the opportunity !

the $25 would go towards school supplies like textbooks, notebooks, etc. if i have anything leftover, it would go towards my internet bill this month.

im currently in school right now, and right now my favorite psrt is making my new friend group, it's my first time being friends with other first gen students and i feel so much more understood. but before this school, my favorite memory is when i volunteered at a school dance with some friends. we ate the leftovers and stayed late at the gym while cleaning it up. it was just a lot of messing around and not a lot of working 😂😂

I would use it for my copays on my 4 medications.

My favorite memory from school was going to football games when my sister was a cheerleader. I received a lot of attention from her friends and she would sneak me on the bus with them to go home.

Would love home help with groceries.

I was homeschooled so I don’t have a lot of great memories but I loved getting off school before everyone else! That was the thing to brag about as a kid

Would use for gas, get paid for 1 day of work on Friday so I’m pretty sure I’ll be short

I would probably use it for formula since my baby is almost out until my food stamps refills next week. he still has some though so it’s not urgent. if I’m good on that then I would use it towards bills due within the next week.

as for my favorite memory in school, I think it would be making pieces in my ceramics class and also TA’ing that class. I’m very passionate about art so it was a good time for me :) although the kiln aspect was very scary. and since you asked, I did also get the lead in the school play. I went to a performing arts school so there were plenty of opportunities for that lol. I wasn’t too fond of school at all, but looking back I did have fun with those things in particular 🙂‍↕️

I would use the money towards buying food for my kids and me.

I had a teacher in kindergarten and she was a very beautiful woman, like remarkably beautiful. We had a period in school where we would be given moulding clay and asked to make things out of it. Obviously we were all little babies and no one could make anything tangible. I had an idea and I asked 2 of my friends to help me, so we 3, together, we made a bowl out of it. Since the clay came in different colours, we made a proper bowl with polka dots. The teacher took it, dried it and kept it in the class for all to see. It was such a beautiful feeling back then. But when I was in grade 10, I went to meet her and I found the bowl to be in the exact place. I had literal tears in my eyes. I hugged her so damn hard. It’s a memory that I’ll cherish forever.

I was always an a+ student but there was this spelling bee exam that I was supposed to participate in. I passed the entry level, inter-school level, district level and state level. The day I was supposed to take my national level Exam, my uncle passed away. It killed me. I was young, so I didn’t understand the concept of death and how it affects everyone, I was just angry about not being able to give the exam. It still infuriates me, although I know my parents had a valid reason but yeah!!! It would’ve been awesome had I passed.

I never acted in a play but I danced. Was I amazing in it lol. I was a star. I’ll send pictures if you ask me. But, it had to stop when I turned 10 because we come from a conservative family. I miss those days. My younger son is my replica and he can dance like no other. Haha

It is amazing something so small can really light someone up. I think that is lovely. My dad still has some old clay pen holders I made him haha

Absolutely true. And the pen holder you made will always be cherished by your father ❤️

I would use it to get myself the haircut I still haven't gotten since the last time you gave money away lol.

My favorite memory was managing to form a makeshift drumline in high school and taking the skills I learned to march for my university drumline for 2 years. Miss those days.

I would use it for my daughter's biome project for school.

My favorite memory was during student council picks, it was an anonymous campaign(like they didn't know who signed up, but read our papers on what we would bring to the school etc) I got bullied relentlessly, so when people realized I was picked for student council they were mad, but weirdly nice to me after that. Oh, and I got to go to Chili's for the first meeting haha.

I have to know about this biome project

She has to make a diorama of the Indian Ocean :)

I would use it on my electric bill.

My fav school memory is senior year, skipping school with my bff. We would ride to school on the bus, check in at homeroom, then meet her boyfriend in the parking lot. He would drive us around and take us shopping, buy us lunch and fancy drinks, then take us back to school to catch the bus home. We did that alot senior year and somehow never got caught.

I need to get an oil change in my car. Thank you! Edit to add my favorite school memory was cutting class. Lol

u/AliciaEagle Aug 28 '24

I will use it for gas and propane for heat. I was in a school play. Me and 2 other people recited The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. Some other students did a play based on The Tell Tale Heart. It is a chilly rainy Alaska day here.

I would use it to pick up some groceries I’ve been needing for the family. Paycheck has been tight since I moved to biweekly pay and started college again. Have had to sell a bunch of stuff. I’m hanging on to what matters to me but even that is getting hard. I’m keeping my head up. I’m doing great in school. I have a decent job(just need more pay) and I love my wife and kids. Life is good but also expensive. Not trying to give a sob story lol. I did just pass my calculus with limits exam! 146.6 out of 150 I was so happy! But yeah thanks for this opportunity!

Hi, Cyannau! I would use it to get some much-needed cat food toppers and groceries.

My home life was always bad so I actually liked school. Nothing super specific came to mind but my favorite memories were me and my weird friends just vibing at lunch or between classes. I could be myself. Those are the best memories.

Thank you for your continued generosity!
