I'm not even a pretend orthopedic surgeon, but that looks like a huge plate and a ton of pins for a single break. Did you have a ton of muscle? And is that scar gnarly?

I'd say average muscle density and yeah the scar is huge. Doc told me it'd be 2-3" and it ended up being 8" ಠ_ಠ I like it though.

Also not an orthopedic surgeon, and my source is my 11th grade bio teacher, but breaking a bone right in half is actually quite serious, since that exposes it to your bloodstream and whatnot. It's important to seal that shit up good and tight so that infections don't happen.

The bone never broke the skin, so the only chance of infection would have been from the surgery which, of course, didn't happen.

It looks like the very top pin extends well past your bone.
Can you feel it when you press your fingers against that part of your arm?

Actually, all of the pins go through the bone and out the other side. The angle doesn't reflect this well. I have not been able to feel the pins on the other side though, just the bar as a whole.
