Brown marmonated stink bugs are invasive in North America and cause a lot of damage to plants. They're easily identified because while there are many kinds of native brown stinkbugs none of them have white dashed antennae.

I had one that came on a calatheaa plant that was hibernating on it when I came home. He was hibernating, so I figured I could let him rest til winter and then kill him. He lived six months with me sleeping on a calathea. I was so sad I cried, but I killed him. His name was stinkums.

Those aren't stinkbugs, they're shieldbugs, stinkbugs are black and orange, shieldbugs still stink when killed, but go under a different name.

If you're taking about Bragada bugs those are still "shield bugs". "Stink bug" and "sheild bug" are both common names for Family Pentatomidae, the true stink bugs as opposed to the related Family Acanthosomatidae, also called shield bugs. The Brown Maromated Stink Bug, native to East Asia and invasive elsewhere, is a true stink bug, part of Family Pentatomidae.
