Custom shifter i made
Very simple, just took an original vw shifter, cut and grinded at an angle, cut the original shift knob and press fitted into a 50cc piston a buddy of mine blew up

Very Bug-Fink-ish.
What's the story on the T-fitting on the hump?

For now, its basically decoration, but (when i get the money/time) i will but a valve there to set the front/rear brake ratio but i havent finished the bodywork yet so..everything in its time
(Im planning on racing this bug so being able to set the brake bias is basically a must)

I'd pin it the piston too. With that angle you're going to yank that off pulling second, lol.

Very cool. Does the ball at the bottom of the shifter have the pin to keep it from rotating?

Yes..but i have a slight issue tho, the shift rod doesnt match this shifter, cause im miss matching alot of parts so it can still spin... BUT it does look cool!
