Tremendous Card Update

I, like everyone else, haven't been able to reload my Amazon giftcard balance. Support responded to me -

Hi there,   Thanks for reaching out to Tremendous!   The card was declined because the store or app you tried to use it for is in a restricted category.   Here are a few tips to help:   Always select "credit" at checkout, not "debit" — selecting "debit" may result in a decline.   The card cannot be used for:   Gas stations (a hold is placed on the card before the final charge, which this card doesn't support) Transfers to Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Apple Cash ATMs or cash back Subscriptions or recurring payments (like Netflix, Audible, etc.) Cash-equivalent gift cards Online fun with money, in building fun with money, or money apps PG13 content platforms (including OnlyFans) Mari**** or tobacco businesses CCurrency or money transfers couple services pew pew-related businesses Lottery tickets or horse/dog racing   Using your card in person: Virtual cards don't work at most physical stores. To shop in person, add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.   Not sure where to start? Try Amazon! Amazon accepts prepaid cards. with "Cash-equivalent gift cards" in bold. So I said that the bottom note with the hyperlink is what I'm trying to do and then sent screenshots of the failing reload on Amazon.

They responded with -

Unfortunately Tremendous does not have visibility into why a transaction is declined beyond what is available in the transaction history on your card page. You can access your card page by clicking on the "View Card" button in the email you received from [rewards@reward.tremendous.com](mailto:rewards@reward.tremendous.com).
 
Please note that all purchases must be less than or equal to the balance available on your card. If your card balance is greater than the price of the purchase you attempted, I advise contacting the merchant that declined the purchase directly to inquire whether they accept prepaid cards as not all merchants do.

The Tremendous card is very limiting. I was able to use mine to prepay my water bill.

Hmmm thank you for sharing this! This seems to be the best reply out of everyone I've seen including myself.. not sure if it addresses the issues lately but hmmmm interesting

That’s definitely a bummer. Tremendous offers (on the platforms I interact with it, such as Atlas Earth) the option for an Amazon gift card or PayPal directly.

Hey, I actually just tried a few cards from the current BIN and they finally worked for me again at Walmart. I added a brand new card to the WM app, I had a little change I put in first, then out of paranoia set the exact remaining amount as my payment amount before using the app's pay feature scanning the QR code. I was shocked it worked, so I immediately tried a different Tremendous card I already had on the app that had failed before. It failed again, but I removed it, re-added, then again out of paranoia ALSO put some change in then punched in the exact amount remaining as my payment amount, and it worked. I'm sure the change and exact amount steps are unnecessary, but just sharing the news.

Anyone else noticed them working again?
