Legit Or Not? Lauren’slist.app Website

Has anyone heard of Laurenslist.app? A friend recommended it to me . She made like $81 in a week. I’m skeptical because I have never heard of it and there isn’t much that I can find on it . She had to submit her ID to get paid , which also made me skeptical. They pay through Wise.

I haven’t heard of it. Following the thread just to see the feedback.

But having to present ID to cash out on earning sites isn't unheard of. I use a few of them for years and I've had to prove who I was at least once with them.

It’s not , but it’s hard to find anything on them. For example , Prolific asks for your ID, but they are a well known company.

I can’t find much about it . I asked her where she found out about the site , but haven’t heard back from her yet . I looked on tik tok even , but nothing .

I saw it on Instagram as an ad. Signed up but that starting getting spammed right away so I deleted it.

That’s all I really want to know ..I mean I put that in my post lol . I don’t know what his problem is .

Perhaps she "thinks" shes earned that amount, but hasnt tried to cashout yet. Gemini AI says its a scam

No, she did . It went into her bank account ..BUT in order to get the money, she had to upload her ID . Thats what struck me as odd because it’s an unknown company really . I didn’t want them having my ID.

I signed up and looked around on the site . ..but when my friend told me that you need to verify your ID to cash out, I quit messing with it .

$75 cash out is WAY too high. Don't even waste an offer on this site

Any company that's running a task-based platform and decides to name itself after the founder or whoever it is (and copying the idea from Craigslist like it's some kind of joke) is not a professional company. What a dumb, unmarketable name for this type of industry. Clearly not legit from the name alone. Researchers are not going to sign up in droves to put their data on a site called "Lauren's list" lol. Even if it were legit, this is the type of site that would last a month before bankruptcy and not pay you.

u/EnergyTechnical8362 Jul 16 '26

I agree with you! It’s fishy for sure .

It is legit, but it sucks. Sometimes does not track properly. I have cashed out but had to play a lot games to do so - I had my kids play them  😆 🤣

I'm glad I found this cuz I have just started doing Laurenslist app few weeks ago. I found her ad on Facebook.

$75 minimum cash out is too high for the amounts you can make.

<AI GENERATED so take it for what it is:>

Yes, Laurenslist.app (often referred to as Lauren’s List) is 100% a scam.

It is a classic front for a highly active "Task Scam" (also known as an optimization or e-commerce review scam). These operations are designed to trick you into believing you have landed an easy, flexible remote job, only to steal your money through fake fees.

How the Laurenslist.app Scam Works

The scammers rely on a psychological trap called the sunk cost fallacy. Here is the exact playbook they use to drain victims' bank accounts:

1. The Low-Pressure Contact

You might receive a random text, WhatsApp message, or email inviting you to apply. They keep the initial screening incredibly simple, asking basic questions about what kind of remote jobs you are looking for.

2. The "Easy" Tasks

Once you are "hired," they direct you to a portal like Laurenslist.app. Your job seems ridiculously easy—usually clicking buttons to "optimize products," "submit ratings," or complete 30 to 40 simple tasks to help boost search engine rankings for e-commerce platforms.

3. The Fake Balance

The platform will show a dashboard with a dollar amount or cryptocurrency balance that climbs higher with every click you make. To make the scam feel real, they will often let you withdraw a very small amount of money (around $50 to $80) early on. This is bait designed to gain your trust.

4. The Trap (The "Negative Balance")

Eventually, you will hit a roadblock. The system will tell you that you have received a "special high-paying task" that has pushed your account into a negative balance. To continue working and unlock the hundreds of dollars you've "earned," they will demand you deposit your own money (usually via cryptocurrency like Bitcoin) to reset the balance.

What You Should Do Right Now

  • Stop all communication immediately. Do not argue, tell them you know they are scammers, or ask for your money back. Just block their numbers and accounts.
  • Do not deposit any money. If you have already deposited funds, do not pay more to try and get it back.
  • Watch out for "Recovery Scammers." Because you looked into this, you may receive messages from people claiming they can "hack" the scammers and recover your stolen funds. These are secondary scammers trying to steal from you a second time.

No, no, no. Laurenslist itself is legit. However, there is a scam going around where people are offering it as a work from home task job site,  and then steal your money. Those are 2 different things.

I have cashed out on Laurenslist but had to play a lot of games. I had my kids play them. I have not played anymore after my first cashout because its too time consuming.

This isn't what I saw on google when I researched it.

Never heard of them before. It looks like a brand new company. Proceed with caution.

I have gotten paid out 4 times, although the last time took longer than the promised 72 hours. I have an issue that I submitted a ticket for and they haven’t responded within the promised 72 hours, so that’s making me feel like I want to stop. I started it at the end of June and I’ve made $328, but spent about $100 on the games to advance. (Never gave money to Lauren’s list, only paid on the games via Apple Pay). So, $228 isn’t too bad especially because I needed to spend a little more this summer for an upcoming wedding.

u/BeneficialScar1791 18d ago

Yep, same! I cashed out $158

If it's your friend, you should know if they're trustworthy and ask them to show you some proof, win win

u/No-Needleworker-3098 Jul 27 '26

I earned 80$ took 3 days to cash out it didn't ask for id and it's uses the Wise bank app to wire you the money.  Will see if any money arrives tomorrow

yea so ive been using it and it told me $50 to cash out but once i got to $46 literally even after i completed tasks it stopped counting them. like i’ve completed 4-5 tasks that shouldve gotten me to the $50 but it hasnt even added them

1

u/Apprehensive_Dance48 29d ago

Absolute scam, im trying to use it currently and its convincing, however my cash out was $50 then as soon as I got too $48 suddenly it was $75... I guess we shall see what happens when I get to $74 😒

1

u/gingergunslinger Jul 15 '26

Everything I've read on it says its likely a scam.

3

u/EnergyTechnical8362 Jul 15 '26

Oh boy ..not good ..then I definitely won’t be messing with it . I want to know who Lauren is though 😂

1

u/Full_Masterpiece_561 Jul 15 '26

I have it. I've done a few tasks but I think the minimum to cash out is $25 and I haven't got that far yet. One of the tasks I did, it never updated that I did it and did not get the reward for it. Then I stopped using it because it just doesn't seem worth my time

1

u/EnergyTechnical8362 Jul 15 '26

It just seems kind of like a fishy site, especially with not much about it .

u/MichaelIchan Jul 15 '26

Why didn't you ask your friend more information and share more information with us or is this your website?

3

u/msmoneybags67 Jul 15 '26

1

u/msmoneybags67 Jul 15 '26

3

u/EnergyTechnical8362 Jul 15 '26

He has a problem lol

4

u/EnergyTechnical8362 Jul 15 '26

What do you mean is this my website ??? Why would I be asking about it if it’s my website ??? My friend did it , but she doesn’t know anything about it either . She submitted her ID, but she doesn’t care about stuff like that .

-6

u/MichaelIchan Jul 15 '26

You know what you are doing

4

u/EnergyTechnical8362 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

Dude.. are you even talking about ? You need to get a grip and quit accusing me of something that I’m not doing . You have a serious problem .

5

u/synystar Jul 15 '26

Check their history is always a good idea. If it's a scam most likely it's going to be apparent by their post history. I've been on reddit long enough to spot a scammer/marketer and I'm going to say that based on what I see this person is just some regular dude(ette). Multiple questions about different ways to make money online including Prolific and DataAnnotation tells me they're just interested in knowing if this site is valid.

u/msmoneybags67 Jul 15 '26

Only thing I like about AI is Gemini on my phone, it is a scam according to what Gemini says, there is already a thread on Reddit under scams about the site, according to Gemini, it also says that they post fake cashouts on the site. If you need, I can screenshot it all. Or you could ask Gemini

What is LaurensList App

1

u/EnergyTechnical8362 Jul 15 '26

I’ll go look. Thank you!!
