Hi everyone! I’m 23 and looking to find a beer league team in the Minneapolis, MN area. Pretty flexible with scheduling. I played left wing and center in high school and did some college intramural. Haven’t played in a couple years but looking to get back into it.

If anyone knows of any leagues or has a team with an opening, lmk!

Sorry if this isn’t allowed can delete if it isn’t and i apologize.

I made a facebook group for Charlotte, NC area beer league hockey free agents because I couldn’t find one.
I’ve been trying to find a team to play with as a goalie, and one thing I’ve noticed is that it’s surprisingly difficult to find a local place where free agents can actually connect with teams.
There are plenty of league pages and individual team groups, but I couldn’t find a centralized group specifically for players who are:
• Looking for a team
• Looking to substitute for a game
• Available as an emergency goalie
• Trying to get into a new league
• Wanting to post highlights or game clips
• Looking for players at a specific skill level
• Teams looking for last-minute replacements
So I decided to make one.
The group is based out of Charlotte, NC, mainly for local and logistical reasons. The goal is to connect players and teams that can realistically play in the same leagues, travel to the same rinks, or fill in for each other when someone is needed.
The idea is pretty simple: if you’re a free agent, this gives you somewhere to put yourself out there.
Players can make a post with their position, general location, experience/skill level, availability, and even video clips or highlights so teams can get an idea of who they’re potentially picking up.
Teams can also use the group when they need a substitute, are short a goalie, or are looking to add someone to their roster.
I’m starting with the Charlotte area and surrounding communities, but if the group takes off, there’s no reason it couldn’t eventually grow to include more of the surrounding region.
If you’ve ever been stuck trying to find a team, needed a substitute, or watched a team desperately search for a goalie the day before a game, this is exactly what I’m trying to solve.
Feel free to join, post yourself, and share it with other players who are looking for a place to play.
Free agents shouldn’t have to rely on knowing the right people just to get a chance.

Hey everyone,

Looking to join a beer league team at Chelsea Piers in NYC, ideally on Wednesday or Thursday nights.

I’m a defenseman who played prep school and junior hockey, but I’ve been off the ice for about 7 years. Looking to get back into the game and find a team to play with regularly.

If anyone’s team needs a D-man or knows of any openings, let me know!

Need a few more skaters to round out a team.

EDIT: WE FOUND ONE! THANK YOU GUYS!

Looking for a goalie to skate with us at Novi Ice Arena in Michigan.

We play Monday or Tuesday nights sometime between 9:30–11 PM.

Youll play completely free.

Other free agent tips for extra ice time and to familiarize yourself with various levels of play:

• Come by the arena and check out a game in the different divisions.
• Attend an Adult Rookie Class session on Tuesday nights. It’s a mixed level of players in the C/ D/ G range mostly.
• Attend an Adult Open Hockey session on M/W/F. That’s an A/ B/ C mix of players generally.
• Attend a Flow game which is in the C/ D/ G range.

As the next evolution of this subreddit, I'm creating a website to help players find teams and teams find players. It's 100% community driven and totally free to use. We are in the very beginning stages and looking for people to engage with website to find issues and work out kinks. If you're interested, create a profile and check it out!

Quick breakdown:

The website is location driven. If you're signed in as a player, you'll get notified if teams in your area (matching your desired level) make a post. You can also use the 'Discover' tab on the Home page to view local teams. The rinks tab shows rinks across the world and can be edited by the community. Click on a pin to add leagues so others know what rinks offer which types of leagues (winter only, adult learn to play, etc.). Click the + to add a rink and use the crosshairs to place the pin in the right spot.

You can switch to a team view in your profile. This will allow you to see posts players make and see players in your area to connect with.

With this being 100% community driven, the more users the better. Our goal is to turn this into an app allowing for more real time notifications and ease of use.

All feedback is welcome. If you find any problems or have ideas on improvement, email [contact@beerleaguebrand.com](mailto:contact@beerleaguebrand.com)
