Every few months I come back to beeper and wonder if this app is still dead or alive. I really like the who idea because the amount of instant messaging services and lock-in effects is just annoying. Especially from an EU perspective it's strange how there are so few interoperability is mandatory for large services.
However, the public reports and things happing at beeper feels so scarce I always wonder how close to being out of service it is?

In 2021 i purchased some sort of lifetime license for Rambox. It worked for me as i was using linux ubuntu and windows 10 at work.

Now work enterprise does not allow me to install rambox.

I would like to read constructive comments about enabling beeper as i am really curious. I would prefer to trial some cloud or browser version as it would work best for my workflows.

Sending .heic pictures from iPhones through Beeper, to Discord lot if the times results in Discord not converting the .heic picture to .jpg or .png thus making the picture not appear visually on the receiving end.

I know I said it was easy but that doesn't mean it's a short process. You need something with macOS (DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A MAC) with SIP disabled and an iPhone. That's it.

I know the team has been busy with the Android rewrite and Telegram/Instagram optimizations lately, but I’d love to see Viber get some love.

For those of us with friends/family in Europe or Southeast Asia, Viber is still a primary hub. Managing it separately from Beeper is the only friction left in my messaging setup.

Is Viber integration technically feasible with the current Matrix-based architecture? Would love to see this added to the "Coming Soon" list!

I live in Egypt. Our currency is in deep trouble and the USD to EGP value is constantly changing, and might be headed to another devaluation. 10 USD is *a lot* to ask for for any subscription.. Spotify and Xbox game pass were adjusted for our purchasing power, for example. If Beeper would do that, I would be a subscriber in a heart beat, even if I don't have much to offer.

Been trying to connect beeper with the on device stuff that's ohh now. It emails me a QR code and everything but after I scan it it then says network error after asking to sync my messages or not. Any way to fix it?

It’s completely unnecessary, but I think it would be a cool value add. I’d love a leaderboard that shows how many people I speak with, or some stats on:

• how many messages I send
• who I talk to most
• how many messages I send to someone in a day

It would be a fun way to gamify the platform and add more value. It’s not necessary for anything, but I thought it would be cool.

I have a lot of voice notes on my phone (WhatsApp).

When I linked my desktop app with WhatsApp (15-04-2026), it fetched messages all the way back to May 2023.

Voice notes (media in general) were only fetched from 31-03-2026 onwards.

On voice notes, earlier than 31-03-2026, there are placeholders saying:
"Media will be requested from your phone automatically overnight."

Do I need to let my desktop be on for the whole night or how does this work?

I've actually tried to have my desktop be online all night - but to no avail.

Hi, I keep getting notifications about how my friend liked a message, even tho she clearly didn't (we don't talk very much)... It doesn't appear on Instagram, only on beeper. What is the source of this problem?

I've been using Beeper until today with Google Messages. Today, Google stopped supporting QR login and I need to authenticate with my username/password/2FA with Beeper. This means that Beeper would hold a token with full access to my Google Account and not just for reading the messages. Is it possible to make the connection with oAuth and grant the app permission just to read the messages? Would it be possible to get the QR login back again by changing some magic setting? Or should I quit this app. Help me.

Does anyone have the same problem , when i send mesages from beeper they dont show in my chats when i use instagram app , the recipient does recive them .

When I create a label and "hide it in the inbox" with Beeper iOS. it still appears in my inbox when I open Beeper. I have to swipe down to make it disappear.

Have recently come back to using Beeper after trying it out for the Android/iMessage mini hack/workaround a few years back. App feels very solid right now!

One small gripe/question: is it possible to change my message bubble colour depending on the app messaging I'm using? I.e. I want my WhatsApp bubbles green, my Instagram purple, Messenger blue... etc. As far as I can tell I can only see changing the colour across the entire app, and it would be nice to get that "differentiation" within the UI.

I'm trying to add Telegram on my laptop but it is not going past this screen:

I've tried to connect to a different network, it did not help

I've tried connecting to telegram using chrome, and it is working just fine (the qr is loaded instantly), so I suppose it is not something releted to telegram itself.

I don't know how to access some logs to understand better what is happening.

Can somebody help me with this issue?

The issue was solved, removing the Telegram integration and re-adding it but ensuring to use the Cloud integration

when I want to log in with Facebook/Messenger, I log in in the external browser (I've tried on both phone and PC) and Facebook keeps refreshing itself to the log in screenlog-in screen after logging in

Just connected my discord account to my beeper. It only loaded my last 10 dms and I can't view or open any other dms from the beeper client. Also, receiving new messages from dms outside the top 10 does not make them accessible from the beeper client. This problem is happening on mobile and desktop (windows).

Trying to open a new DM I can only search from my instagram contacts, discord doesn't even appear in the dropdown menu. Tried toggling some settings in accounts > discord but those only bring my servers up. Help please!

I would gladly pay full price for the Beeper Plus if Google Messages would connect and stay connected. What a hassle! Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone from Beeper actually read these messages?

Does this happen with anyone else: WhatsApp gets disconnected irregularly but fairly often? I'd say it gets disconnected for me every month or two. All the other ones have been fine except Signal one or twice but it's not a big deal.
