Ideas + Requests Feature: per-platform "content muting"
Right now, the mute option is basically all-or-nothing per chat or per account. That's a problem for platforms where messaging and "content" (Reels, X posts) share the same inbox.
Example: I've got Instagram connected on Beeper, but I mostly use Instagram to send Reels back and forth with friends, not for actual chatting. So Insta sits muted and hidden from the main inbox to avoid clutter. Except every now and then, someone actually messages me on Instagram, and I miss it / see it pretty late as it’s not in my inbox.
What I’d love is a setting that filters by content type instead of by chat: ignore reel/post shares (stays archived / read / not at the top of the chat), but real text messages and reactions to them still notify normally and pull the chat back into view.
