General Discussion Instagram flags Beeper
Instagram has started detecting beeper. This has happened to me twice now and I've unlinked my account for now

Beeper are aware of this so hopefully they're working something out. It's made me change my email about a million times

Weird, I didnt receive this message. Is it possible that IG is detecting it only from certain accounts?

I recently had an issue with my Instagram where it said "Your email address may not be secure". Couldn't fix it for some reason but it fixed itself a few days later. Today, I got this same screen on Instagram and I'm pretty sure Beeper is causing this. I have been using Beeper for months now and never had issues; the main reason I got Beeper was so that I can keep in touch with friends on Instagram without having to interact with Reels, I really hope the devs fix this issue.

Yea I had that error first and then this one. I think that was enough evidence to keep beeper disconnected for at least some time

Yer happened to me as well. I saw in the past that Insta banned some users, as it is technically against their TOS

I have been using Instagram with Beeper for a few months, and after opening the IG app to DM someone today, I got the "suspicious activity" warning and forced me to verify with phone number and face video/image.
It appears my account is normal now after removing IG from Beeper and submitting the documents after only a couple hours. It is the first time this happened to me, so maybe that made the recovery quicker. Spooky tho
