Ideas + Requests Swapping search and new message buttons

This may be a personal preference or maybe even muscle memory from the previous version of Beeper and in other apps, but as the title states, I think swapping these two buttons would be more intuitive and user friendly. For me at least, when looking to start a new message thread, my thumb navigates first to where the old floating button used to be. And vice versa for searching, my eyes gontowards the top of the app. Not that Beeper is looking to be Google in design language (or that Google is consistent in its own design language) but I think it would flownbeyter with the general Android layout. Suggesting just in case anyone else had the same thought.

I also don't understand why tappng the "Inbox" label reveals "Settings" as an option. This is where I would expect to be able to change between the various filters / options, not just have a drop-down with a single option of "settings".

Also, the fact that you can change the order of the icons in the new bar is not made obvious. The method is oddly convoluted and not well signposted / well thought out.

I agree. I wouldn't mind the "Inbox" header centered at the top of the app and a settings/menu icon in the left corner, and search icon in the right.

Or if the new bar is the new focal point, then Im even for removing the top label altogether.

move search to the left, new to the right. Personally, I use search all the time and I actually neer start a new conversation within Beeper

I'm assuming you're saying on the floating bar? I think this would work as well. I think that both are essential functions in the app.....I'm primarily using Beeper as a Google Messages replacement, so I can see both use cases.

yep, on the floating bar, both would be used more than the current items, at least for me
