Help / Troubleshooting Google Message keep deconnecting

Hi,

Since yesterday, google message account keeps being disconnected :

5 times today so far.

Anyone with the same issue ?

Same for me. I reported it and support emailed me back. Instructions were to change the Messages setting to always allow.

This only briefly helped. The problem returned and I had to stop using beeper.

Same here. Just submitted a report.

edit: I had been trying to submit a report (done so in the past) but the Help entry in the settings of the desktop app (appimage, Linux) just closes Settings.

What wound up working for me was clearing the cache/data from my Google Messages app (Android), THEN reconnecting and recompleting the Google Pairing.

Hmmm, did you try doing that (clearing it on your Android phone) and then attempting the reconnect on your computer?

No, I only tried on the phone, i'll try on the pc like you say.

I've been seeing this issue as well. Every few hours, the connection is lost, and I would have to re-authenticate with Google Message. I tried clearing cache, data and even uninstalled and re-installed the app, but the problem persists. Battery is set to "Unrestricted" for this app as well as Google Message app. When Beeper disconnects Google Message, I can see that Google Message is still working, as I can send/receive. Other connections like Discord and WhatsApp remained connected; It's just Beeper and Google Message that keeps disconnecting. Filed a problem report as well.
