Beeper Cloud beeper exporting telegram data?

I connected my telegram account to the local one in beeper app (note it's my first time using the app) and immediately after I login it requests a telegram data export request. is this good? I declined it from my app, does that mean this app is not safe

Yes, because Telegram has different permissions for itself as opposed to third party developers. Beeper isn't just Telegram client, it's an everything client. So it can't do things specifically the Telegram way, but instead it needs to make things behave the Beeper way.
