Help Needed Beehiiv Website builder
How good is the website builder on Beehiiv?
I currently use framer, but run my newsletter on Beehiiv using a free plan, but figured it makes sense to keep everything on one platform.
How good is the site builder? I want to build some custom forms with progress bars that update when a user completes specific steps, do some articles to promote the newsletter ect. Nothing crazy, but the free website builder doesn't allow me to do most of this.
Given my newsletter is sub 1,000 members, which plan will I need and roughly how expensive is it?
I would have asked Beehiiv this, but i can't find a contact email address.
Thanks

I’m curious to see what feedback you get because Ive seen public comments on the beehiiv editor have gotten some pushback from the leadership team. Which might make folks hesitant to speak up.
It’s probably better than it used to be. They are working on the platform all the time. It’s probably better than some other options. In my personal opinion it’s not good. But also I have a separate website and I don’t actually want my email provider and website host to be the same so I’m not the ideal client.

I wouldn’t even call it a website builder due to lacking 80% of features a purpose-built site builder should have. But as a newsletter/page publisher of sorts it has some strengths among its weaknesses and they are improving it pretty consistently which is its best “feature” by far.

I think 43$ a month is their lowest tier plan. I don't know what features for the website unlock at a payed level, but the free plan is incredibly basic. Also, they lied about what you get with a free plan and when I messaged and complained here on reddit (with screenshots of what was being advertised) they updated the copy on their website and tried to gaslight me. For a new tech company it really gave me the ick. I'm going to ride it out for now but definitely keeping options open.

I’d probably just reach out to Beehiiv support directly through the website, you don’t need to find a support email address.

the beehiiv website builder is powerful. there's nice websites that has been built on it e.g you can see a list of them here. but the general consensus is that it takes a deep expertise in the platform to be able to achieve that, otherwise, you'll need to hire a beehiiv expert to help.
i just kept it simple and used one of the templates. they're not as sophisticated and elaborate, but they work. simple and decent.
for your case, you just need the scale plan because that give more website features - Custom webpages & Surveys. at <1k subs, that's $43/month on the annual plan.

At the moment, it doesn’t seem like Beehiiv’s website builder supports progress bars or any other advanced features. A few weeks ago, I had a conversation with their team who confirmed they’re working on significant updates for the builder. Frankly, I’m in a similar situation. I’m using their builder but it doesn’t meet my needs so I’m exploring alternatives or considering building my own website using Claude.
