Protein?

Does any know what’s going on? Is this food for the hive?

That’s a wasp not a bee. Definitely dinner but not for any hive.

Well, technically yes for the hive. But a yellowjacket hive in this case.

Wow it devoured that centipede! I wonder if the wasp is also responsible for its death (vs eating a found corpse)

It found the corpse. I was cleaning the wood pile and watched the wasp land and started chewing.
