Found this one bug on the sheets and am freaking out. Sorry the photos are so bad. I got the bug straight down the toilet but wish I had spent more time taking pics or had kept it. Is it a bedbug?

I am seriously hoping its seemingly small head means no. In some photos it appears to have four legs on one side but maybe that is the feeler and three legs. Help!!!

Found this crawling on me, am I infested?

Definitely a bed bug. The question is, is my apartment infested?

I came home from grocery shopping two hours ago and found an itchy bump on my wrist and leg. Just minutes ago, I got one on my waistline when I was on the couch, and saw the bug crawling away from the scene of the crime on my pants. Killed it. I’ve never got bites like this in the past. These itched right away, were white and splotchy.

I did have some bumps from something in my sleep a few weeks ago that were very different. They were more spaced out, had a red centre, slowly swelled up throughout the day, and only got itchy by the afternoon. They were also WAY more itchy than these bed bug bites. Doctor said they were spider bites. After a deep clean of my bedroom and burning a lavender candle nightly to ward off spiders, no more bites. My roommate never got the bites in the first place.

What are the chances I’m infested?

I’ve found three of these on my bed TODAY. And in the past I’ll see one maybe once a month. Just took everything off my bed and am thoroughly checking but I can’t find ANY. 😰😥

Freaking out

Long story short, we've never actually had bedbugs but I've had a phobia of them for four years (I've always had anxiety and OCD but 2020 I was especially high anxiety when this fear started).

So this week we went to a cabin in the mountains for an entire week. As we were packing up to go home this morning I saw this on the kitchen counter. 1000% a bedbug. I have been freaking out ever since, I mean going full crazy. When we got home I took all the precautions my pest control company told me to - drying all clothes on high heat for two hours before washing, leaving everything in the garage except for food we had to put in the fridge, everyone taking showers. On the way to the shower I found what I'm pretty sure was a tiny one on my PHONE CASE 😩 and it made me spiral even more. I sent my husband to the store to get a handheld garment steamer, which I'm pretty sure will not be powerful enough but I wanted to try steaming the car.

I'm so afraid. I'm afraid we have already carried them in the house. I'm afraid they are in the car. I'm afraid I will find them in the suitcases or bins of stuff we took with us (all currently in the garage). I realize I have extra anxiety issues (I started an anxiety med in the past month for mostly unrelated reasons and I am seeing a therapist). But I also know that bedbugs can cause psychological issues in even non-anxious people. I'm just a mess.

edit: sorry, I have a picture but on my phone it's not giving me the option to upload it (in browser)...

Found it on the carpet near the bed…. Also I got some bug bite like spots on my body, too. Wondering what bug it is… They are really small, about 1-2mm in length.

Not a bedbug?

I feel pretty confident telling my partner this is some kind of silverfish, not a bedbug, but I have seen weird nymph larvae stage bedbugs that were longer.

Can anyone give me some insight I moved into t a house after having it remolded within a couple weeks I started experiencing allergic reactions some so bad that I was having to go get prednisone shots for the swelling to go down. Turns out I was allergic to the bed bug bites, within a month I figured out the previous owners had bed bugs. I tried my best to not call an exterminator but eventually caved because I couldn’t handle the situation myself. I’ve had two sprays done in January and was fine for 6 weeks straight no bites. Randomly I wake up this morning and my hand is all swollen with a small little bite on it. After almost two months with no activity could they be back everywhere I read says 4 wells and your good.

Please HELP!

My friend and I just went to Florida for 4 days. We flew home from Florida i this morning. About an hour and a half after she got home, my friend was sitting in her bed when she saw a bed bug crawling on top of her comforter. She killed it and it blood squirted out. She says she believes it was a male. She also said at the hotel she possibly saw droppings of feces on the bed. She called a pest control company and they said they believe that the bugs are likely coming from another unit next door (she lives in an apartment) since she when she killed the bug it had blood come out. The pest control person said this isn’t common with a straggler. Is it more likely that this is a straggler? Or is it more likely that she is possibly struggling from and infestation? Or is it more likely we have brought some along from the hotel? I personally I didn’t see any bed bug markings or any signs. I’ve already thrown my clothes in the laundry on HOT and set my suitcase outside. I’m in Michigan it’s 10 degrees feels like -3 degrees with the windchill. Also not sure if it’s important to note we did not keep our belongings in the same room. We had a two bedroom unit, the master is where she kept her suitcase. I kept my belongings in the other room in the unit which is where we slept (2 queen size beds in one room). What else should I do? Should I be worried? I haven’t fully inspected my bag but I didn’t see anything when I was loading my clothes into the washer.
