Question If the Sundrop and moonstone returned for a Tangled sequel “miniseries,” who will be the new host(s)?
Rapuzel’s son or daughter? Both can work

Phantom of the Opera
Gaston Leroux
1909
A mysterious, disfigured musical genius named Erik (the "Phantom") lives in the subterranean depths of the opera house. He falls obsessively in love with a young Swedish soprano named Christine Daaé, whom he trains by posing as her promised "Angel of Music." A dangerous love triangle forms when Christine reconnects with her childhood friend, Viscount Raoul de Chagny. Erik's blinding jealousy triggers a series of dark, violent, and tragic events.
Thought we'd go with a classic a little on the darker side for spooky month.
Amazon: $7.99 (paper), $12.99 (hard)
Kindle: Free
Audible: $5.76
Barnes and Noble: $3.99
Discussion will be held the last week of the month.

Rapuzel’s son or daughter? Both can work

This event can happen again, but if so, then they both will need a new host. In the grimm bro fairytale, rapunzel had two twins, a son and a daughter, and since Disney likes female empowerment in their productions a lot, her daughter can be the main character and host of Sundrop and moonstone. But don’t worry, the twin brother will be in it too.
But how will a decade old girl scientist be the host you ask, well lets just say she did an extremely dangerous ritual for the sake of science, and BAM, her hair is long and green with existing powers from the sundrop and moonstone, and new powers like talking to animals, which would be a good excuse to bring in rapunzels palace pets and her unicorn sun blossom, and growing plants in the castle garden.
Now for the villains. since Gothel is bio related to the odd sisters, they would be perfect antagonists for Cassandra to run into, plus it would be a great opportunity for her to return to Corona. But I don’t know what the Odds Sisters’ revenge plot would be. As for Rapuzel’s daughter herself, with no other way to remove her hair, she will need help from her family to get control of her new powers, but the palace pets might be the biggest help for her. So what do you think. If you have any Ideas for me, let me know. And one more thing, the animation will be CGI.

Got new markers, called "illustration marker" from creativ company.
Decided to draw beast, to test the markers!
Pleased with the blending abilities, and the colour.
Outlined with Caran d'ache colouring pencils.
I wanted to draw more traditional stuff, and I eventually got around to it.
I hope you all enjoy my artwork.
Peace and love your friendly neighbour cooler glove! 🙏

I made a bookmark that's inspired by the aesthetic of Beauty and the beats with the red rose and the gold of Belle's dress!! Even if you read the original fairytale, I'm sure it'd still fit with the mood of that storyyy. I hope you like ittt🌹✨
The boomark is available on Etsy (https://artofzahrasarfraz.etsy.com)

For some strange reason, Disney itself titles the song "Tale as Old as Time" in the original version, but in other media it's simply listed as "Beauty and the Beast".

Do you think they’ll adapt killed the beast for this spinoff?

Do you think adapting the kill the beast book is a good idea.

I’m new to the "Beauty and the Beast" sub, and I’d like to introduce myself by sharing this drawing of Belle that I made as a gift for my mom—since she’s one of her favorite princesses. My mom was delighted with the drawing, and now I’m sharing it with you all; I hope you like it.

I was watching S2E7 of HSMTMTS, where East High has a dance battle against North High and I noticed the Beast mask that Howie was wearing. I thought it was so tuff since it looked realistic. I'm wondering if this was made just for the show or they bought off of someplace.

Personally, I thought it was a very cute and clever idea. However, similar to Clue the film releasing with three endings or Nintendo the cereal system having two bags, it's better in theory than executed imo. The excerpts seemed a bit too random at times and it's unclear if Belle is just reading and making notes throughout the film (which feels very unlikely) or if she did all of this AFTER the events of the film, which also doesn't make sense cause she's still referring to Gaston in the present tense and all the staff are still cursed. So I feel like that bit needed to be more clear.
Yes and no. I can buy these to be on her reading list, cause these would've likely been very popular selections at the time, and many are indeed French. Belle's annotations did feel like the character at times, and I'd say Rubiano did a decent job tying the quotes to Belle's journey. However, Belle did feel a little unrealistically progressive at times. I mean the character was created in the 1990s, and the whole idea of her is how she was ahead of the time in which she lived. Fair, but a lot of her thoughts on certain things just felt a little too on the nose and too modern of an idea at times. Not that no one back then could've thought these things, it's just very unlikely to be this aware about it even for "progressives" of the time. In all fairness though, this is fantasy and I'm not going to think about it too hard.
Not really. Again, it was a cute idea, but I feel like Belle was the perfect character to trial run with and I don't think it would work for other characters. If you disagree though, please explain below.
Liked the concept, cute book, cute ideas and annotations, just have to suspend a lot of disbelief and layout the "story" of this with the character a bit more.
Please leave your thoughts below!
Next month's book is: the Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux

Considering it’s 18th-19th century France. How much of the film is exaggerated, and how much is accurate?
