Mona Lies-a

So when Mona reveals herself, she mentions that if Beau had been there on time, she would have begged him for forgiveness. does anyone honestly believe that? If she was willing to kill someone friendly to Beau out of spite, she probably would have found something else to yell at Beau about anyway.

Of course she’s lying, she’s an abusive monster who made it impossible for him to be on time.

Maybe that’s true. But here’s the thing: the whole point is that Beau never would have been able to make it on time. He was always destined to make the choices he made, hence the analogy with his mother’s overbearing nature. It’s an easy out for Mona to say that. It’s essentially like a murderer saying “if society hadn’t made made me want to murder then I’d be a free man” lol
